“Beautiful hotel in a lovely place. Great staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

My boyfriend and I stayed in May 2011, for the bank holiday weekend. The hotel is just lovely, beautifully decorated (our room was gorgeous, with a little balcony, a huge tv and a massive, comfortable bed). Fluffy robes and posh toiletries too.

The receptionist was so friendly, helped us upstairs with our luggage and gave us advice on sightseeing etc. She also booked us a table in the restaurant for one of the evenings.

The views from the hotel bar and dining room are just spectacular. A highlight for us was enjoying a delicious cooked breakfast overlooking the beach/sea etc. Fantastic!

We ate dinner in the restaurant one night, and although the staff were attentive the food was a bit average which was a shame. There is a nice bar area with comfy seats which we very much enjoyed.

We didn't use the spa or pool as we were only there for a couple of days but the infinity pool looked great. Shame it was a bit too wet and windy when we were there!

The location of the hotel is good, Saundersfoot is just a short walk down the hill and there's a few pubs and restaurants there.

We'd definitely go back.

“Chillaxing break”

Set on a hilltop with views over the harbour and bay this is a must. The spa facilities are great and numbers are restricted so that overcrowding does not happen. The food was exceptional and the attention to detail was first class. Cannot rate the hotel enough. The decor is to die for in a very neutral tone with emphasis on quality.

“Great views but too expensive”

I bought a night away as a gift to my wife as she had heard about the great location of this hotel. We were both really looking forward to a luxury weekend but unfortunately we were shocked when we had to pay £50 for us both to use the spa facility on top of the £200 bed and breakfast charge. The facility was non more than a very small infinity pool (great views though) a poor sauna and a couple of steam rooms. They tried to explain that this in itself was a treatment but quite frankly it was no more than you would get in a group hotel at half the room price. If we had paid for a treatment lasting 55 minutes at a suitably inflated price we would have had access to the infinity pool for nothing.

The room itself was small but clean and comfotable with aview to die for.

The staff were all very polite and attentive which was a definate plus.

Overall we enjoyed our stay but not something we would do again.

“New Year 2011-12”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

We spent 3 nights at the St Brides Spa Hotel over New Year 2011-12. Had a marvellous time. Our room had a great view over the bay from the room. Food at both the New Year's dinner and the Sunday Jazz lunch was excellent. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Overall the stay was pricey but it was definitely a price worth paying!

Room Tip: All rooms are good - get a seaview room if you can
