“Dreaming house”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We stood one night in Stirling and we found this neoclassical age villa is a marvelous place, more beautiful than the city itself… It’s a large home, with fantastic room at the first floor, very spacious and elegant in their furniture. The bathroom is worthy of this name, with extraordinary finishing. It’s a bit expensive if compared with other Scottish 4 star B&B, but I think there is no hotel, under 300£, that can offer you a similar bedroom.

“Thank you, Tim!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 October 2011

We stayed at Firgrove for two nights when we were in Stirling. This B&B is in a beautiful villa and Tim was so helpful helping me with my suitcase up the stairs. The "gold" room was very spacious and had a bay window with a dressing table and seat. With a modern shower and two arm chairs this is a very comfortable room! It is a short walk into the town but if it is pouring rain as it was the day we were there, taxi's are very reasonable - 4-5 pounds anywhere. I want to thank Tim for being so helpful, calling cabs for us and making bookings at restaurants. However, what I really appreciated in addition to his lovely B&B services is the fact that he helped us so much with trying to get back to Canada because of a family medical emergency. He spent quite some time looking up train schedules, etc. This was much appreciated as we had just got notification of my husband`s mother`s heart attack. Thank you so much Tim!! We want to come back to Stirling and experience it more fully!

“Great experience and brilliant base in Stirling”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

Stayed with Tim for the last night of our holidays and really enjoyed it. The house is a wonderful, spacious Victorian villa and really well decorated. Our room was lovely and big and the bathroom very clean. The breakfast was very tasty and lovingly prepared by Tim himself.

It's a short walk into the city centre and very well placed for visiting the castle. Tim had lots of recommendations for places to eat which was a great help. We ended up in one of the pubs and had a delightful evening, meeting some 'locals' who were ever so friendly and chatted to us about whisky forever. As one of our reasons for going to Scotland was a taste of the single malts at their source, it couldn't have been a better finale to our trip.

I can only warmly recommend this B&B to everyone. We saw it's up for sale now and I hope the next owners will achieve the same friendly and family atmosphere Tim does so well.

“very good experience and nice owner”

We booked a double ensuite for ~80 pounds.
The house has private parking and the room is very neat and clean.

The hygiene of the bathroom is very good and the served breakfast is a typical English one.

The owner was very friendly (and also his dog).

Overall a good B&B.
