Hill view Cottage B&B is indeed a lovely experience set in rural Stirling only 45 mins from Edinburgh city centre this little cottage and its host Jon were perfect for my son and I. Our visit lasted two nights and to be honest we could have stayed longer had we not had to move on to Inverness. Our room was clean and very comfortable and our Full Scottish Breakfast was enough to keep us going till well after lunchtime. The attractions close by including William Wallace monument ( well worth a look ) and Stirling castle. The free Wi-Fi was welcomed by my son and to sum up. Don't drive past Jon's Hill View Cottage the experience is exceptional and the price is inexpensive.

Spent a while looking for a 'Dog friendly' B&B. We were very glad to find Jon at Hill View. For four days we were treated as friends in his house, rather than a source of income. The room was all we needed and the lounge / dining area was realy comfy with good conversation in the evening. Great Scottish breakfast with special requests for the next day being no problem. Jon was realy helpful with suggestions for sights to see and places to eat. The cottage was easy to find, which was a great help after long days out touring the Trossachs!

Staff very friendly and helpful, they make you feel very comfortable. Lovely friendly feel to the place. Excellent food would recommend, mussels, macaroni and garlic mushrooms all a big must. Fabulous service, great value for money, would definitely go back.

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend because Edinburgh was too expensive - we loved it. Jon (the owner) and his family are super friendly, and recommended the BEST pub in the next village for our meal - we went back for a second night in a row! The view from our room was gorgeous - lush Scottish paddocks and cows, with mountains in the distance. A short drive back to Stirling for sight-seeing but lovely to stay out of town.
Big Scottish breakfast was a great way to start each day and more than enough to keep us going until lunch.
Wi-fi worked well.
