“overnight”

The Arora is one of the near onsite Heathrow airport hotels and therefore is full of aircrew and overnighters. The rooms are larger than many you find in this style of accomodation and suitably equiped. The hotel lets itself down somewhat in its lack of a pleasant bar and lack of quality in the food presentation. as long as your stay is short then there are worse places to stay.

Room Tip: sound proffing is good so no problem there. The front of hotel rooms have spotlights shining into th...

“Weird corridors arrangement”

I missed the connecting flight and had to to stay overnight. I called my agency and they came up with Arora.
It is positioned within a zone around the airport where you can travel on public buses for free.
I called the hotel and they provided me with the information which bust to take to get there.
Buses U3, 75 and 76 run to Terminals 1 and 3, and bus 423 runs to Terminal 5. Time of travel between 6 and 10 minutes.
Passengers flying from Terminal 4 should catch the bus to Terminals 1 and 3, then the Heathrow Connect train or bus 555 to Terminal 4.
At the reception it occured they never heard of me nor of my booking number.
I had to log in to my email account at the free internet station to the right of the reception and forward to them an email I received from my agency.
The problem was sorted.
I don't remember unfortunately the room number but what I remember though is that getting to my room involved a lift, going up and down couple flights of stairs a taking U-turns.
Not very convenient for one-night guests in case of emergency.
Good value for money, breakfast included in the price.
Reasonable food in the bar, I had fish and chips and they were just fine.
Helpful personnel.Clean room.

Room Tip: Try asking for a one with clear access, especially when traveling with kids.

“Great location but no frills!”

Stayed at the Arora as I had a meeting very close by the following day. It's very close to T5 and you can fault the location.

There's lots of cabin crew staying there but it's also very quiet which is good given its at te end of the runway.

The bar smelt of sewage and the restaurant of fried food so we ended up sitting in the lobby for a drink.

Rooms are clean, large and have a Corby trouser press 6600, very Alan partridge, I did not dismantle it. Mini bar was empty except for a plastic glass, probably because flight crews shouldn't drink.

Overall clean, quiet, large rooms but the bar and restaurant were a let down. Good location though.

“The Best Hotel to Heathrow”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Stayed here so many times (but have tried others), and you can argue over a few £ between other hotels, but worth it to pay a little more. The staff are excellent and standards very high. I now book my wife into here when I am away. Very clean and you do get a good sleep which is all anyone wants after a flight. Close to a really great pub The Pheasant (10min walk or 4 min in a taxi), if you want to get out. The staff can't do enough for you, just ask!

Room Tip: Try get a room looking over runway, better than rooms at back. Use LHR taxis as much cheaper than Bl...

“Good choice for Heathrow overnight stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 January 2012

Having stayed at the Crowne Plaza for years and weary of it's tired facility and
high prices, I tried the ARORA and was very pleased. The in house restaurant is decent.
Absolutely no airport noise and a reasonably priced bar with big screen TV's.
Staff is friendly and very helpful in answering questions and sorting out access to the free wi-fi
which is limited to one person per 24 hour period in the Premier rooms.

The Hoppa shuttle passes by the hotel and also the Hertz rental site is only a few hundred meter walk if you are dropping off the night before flying. A taxi ride to your terminal is10 GBP

Room Tip: I chose the Premier upgrade which is a larger room on the upper floors facing the runways.
