Stayed here one night before an early flight from Terminal One at Heathrow. I found it searching under Terminal One Hotels on Google. It is not in Heathrow. The bus, from T1, which was a long time coming took over 15 minutes to get there, via a number of other hotels - and I had to pay an additional £8 return!! So much for a free transfer.
Hotel itself sad and dated. Possibly because I arrived quite late at night, but it seemed you walked straight into a soulless lobby, next to a dreary bar. Check in staff couldn't have been less interested. Only other member of staff to be seen was a security guard looking like a dodgy nightclub bouncer and definitely not going to help with luggage.
I did get a good night's sleep before my flight, but did have to set my alarm half an hour early to leave time to get back to the Terminal. Not brilliant when the whole point of staying is to get some sleep before the flight.

We decided to stay here the night before our flight as we had an early flight, we booked through BCP as we needed to check that it would be OK for our daughter to collect our car (she was on a different holiday and arrived home before us). We were pleasantly surprised at the standard of the hotel considering it would have cost us more just to park the car in the long stay car park. The staff were very helpful and arranged for our daughter to collect the car with a minimum of fuss, food in the bar was reasonable. Very pleasant room and larger than others we have stayed at (when using car parking facilities) Bus to terminal costs £4.50 each or £7.00 return. I would recommend this hotel to friends, so much easier than the stress of driving on the day of your flight.

I could have rated this hotel better if I hadn't been in a five star hotel just the week before.

I do agree there is a difference in the cost but the difference in quality is quite bigger.

The room size is OK, even has a couch and a table apart from the desk with the TV. This is more or less where the good stuff ends.

There was a lamp that was almost detached from the wall and ready to fall, the shower is not meant for people taller than 1.60 m and there is no hand shower to compensate for that. I am 1.86 m and was really hard to get my hair washed. The sink was also below average and had a tendency of filling itself during a short hand wash. The solution was to remove the middle part of the sink's duct. I'll have some photos attached later.

Having in mind the buffet breakfast costs 17 pounds I would expect a lot more from it. Overall the food in the hotel is average if not below average.

It is loud all day and sometimes there are doors being shut quite loud even at 2-3 am.

The Internet is at 10 pounds per day with the possibility to connect for free at speeds of 128kbps with regular disconnects every 30 minutes.

My advice is, if you can stay elsewhere even if it is a bit more expensive do not hesitate. Having in mind other hotels provide free Internet, a better buffet and better service I see no reason for staying here unless your company has booked it for business travel.

The only good thing I found were the regular "Hotel Hoppa" busses that will bring you from and to Heathrow for only 4.5 (for a single) or 8 (for return) pounds.

Be careful when booking via the Holiday Inn web site as they do not make it clear before taking your card that there are additional charges for parking or that you are completing the booking before seeing the additional charges.
