“Exceeded expectations”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2011

The apartment far exceeded my expectations!!!! It was easy to get to from Heathrow--I used the free 285 bus from Heathrow(info I got from the website). Only two small issues (1) the lighting in the bathroom was dark(they used halgoen lights) (2) couldn't figure out how to make the dryer part of the washer/dryer combo work. Even with those two issues, I'd highly recommend this place to everyone. Even thought it's far from Central London, the staff gave excellent directions on how to use the buses & the tube(both of which are very close) & it's only a 30 minute ride on the tube.

“Best place for Indians in UK”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 May 2010

Berkeley Park apartments has fully eqipped kitchen which is a must for Indian travellers till we get used to UK style of living and food. Each apartment has spacious living room, bedroom with double bed in addition to bath and kitchen. Its very spacious. The rooms are fully furnished with washing machine, TVs, Oven, Toaster, iron, Vaccum cleaner, kitchen utensils, sofas, beds, dining table etc..etc. Our company had tie-up with this hotel so we were charged around GBP 75 per day. If required, we can get our friends and the hotel team will convert the sofa to a bed. So three persons can stay very comfortably in each apartment.

“In desperate need of refurbishment”

If you were lucky enough to get an apartment where everything worked, then these apartments would be brilliant. I stayed here for 2 months on business, i changed rooms once, i refused a second time. The television didn't work properly, the picture froze and the sound went mute every few minutes. The shower was a nightmare to turn on and off, the handle was really stiff. The washer didn't work properly, and it took them over a week to get the engineer out and he still couldn't repair it. The hot water intermittently didn't get hot, the DVD player that is advertised took 3 weeks to arrive after endless requests and the bedroom window had no lock and didn't close properly.

“So much room, with washer and drier”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2008

This place is more than a hotel room: It was indeed one bedroom apartment. I picked this place because I was travelling with two kids and needed extra bed, and we were coming in to Heathrow in the evening, and needed a quick place to stay before continuing on our trip next day. Having separate bedroom for kids was great. We also discovered that the kitchen had automated washer and driver, that we could do our laundry. It was fantastic, in the middle of a long trip.

This place would have ben even better if we are staying longer, and if I had my laptop to take advantage of internet service. Though close to the airport, the double pane windows shut the noise out and no problem with the noise.

Some problems: It appears to be OK to smoke in the hotel in UK still, and the living room where I slept smelled like cigarette, though it was not horrible. You may want to check the room before you accept it if you are sensitive. Also, no stores or restaurants on site. So get stuff before you go there.

“Beware Berkeley Park Apartments at Heathrow”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 July 2008

Berkeley Apartments was dirty and a bit run-down. They are not accessible by the Hoppa. You can take the Hoppa to the Holiday Inn Ariel drop-off and then walk around the back of the hotel. The area seems a bit seedy and unsafe, especially with children. We booked the apartment, hoping to have a little more space for the children. There is not bar, restaurant, lobby, etc. There was a family downstairs cooking and setting off the fire alarms. The first room was overpowered by the smell of the BLACK MOLD, in the bathroom. The second room smelled of something else. The room was so gross, I would not allow my children to sit on the coach. We arrived back at the hotel late, and I was extremely concerned about saftey as we had to access the place by an darkenedWhen we re-entered the room, the windows needed to be shut because of the yelling down the alley. We would not stay again. Staff was very friendly and accomodating though.
