I booked a room at the Ariel for one night as it was close to Heathrow, according to the website. I got a tiny room with a single bed. The room was tidy, but had a strong smell of ammonia, so being exhausted, I opened the window and tried to get to sleep. I had a terrible sleep due to the smell of the room, and mentioned the terrible smell to the front desk staff as I checked out, and suggested they not put anyone else in that room until the smell was resolved. I guess I should have just left the room immediately on seeing it, but I was really exhausted after a couple of long flights and needed the sleep. The front desk staff were pleasant, but I would never stay there again.
Room Tip: Check the room, and if unhappy, change it right there and then!
