This was ideal for our one night stay. The bedroom wasn't huge, but that didn't matter. There were tea and coffee making facilities, lots of clean towels and a good shower.

Breakfast was simple; cereal, toast and some fruit - this is what I usually have at home, so can't complain. You can order cooked breakfasts and pay separately, but we didn't try this.

The lady on reception (think she was the owner) was very friendly and helpful. She suggested the two larger hotels down the road as suitable places to eat (an evening meal). But we found the pub over the road (Great Western) was perfectly adequate - nice pub food at very reasonable prices.

The Lodge had a large car park at the rear of the building which was free.

Overall we were very satisfied with our stay and would stay again.

We had a one night stay here because my Daughter and her boyfriend had to be at the Airport early in the morning. A basic hotel, clean, tidy, good continental breakfast with the option of paying for a full cooked one. But that time of the morning just cereal, toast, juice, tea was enough for us. We would definitely recommend this place to friends, and are looking forward to staying again. Easy to get to from the M4, or the airport by hopper bus (H8). Stayed for one night before picking friends up at Heathrow from an early morning arrival. Room was small but cosy and clean. Tea and coffee making facilities, loads of choice on the TV. I was in the front and Lodge is on a very busy road but room triple glazed and there was a fan in the room, which was a godsend, as it was a warm night. Excellent shower, lovely clean white towels, bathmat and fresh smelling bedding. Plenty of choice for breakfast, I didnt have a laptop with me but there is internet facilities for 50p for half an hour....not bad. The couple who run the lodge are very friendly. Excellent value for money.

Shepiston Lodge provides all the essentials you need for an overnight stay, and does it well. At check-in one of the friendly staff personally escorted me to my room, which was clean, modern, and simply decorated.

The free wireless internet connection worked flawlessly. The television in the room included all the Freeview TV and radio channels. The room also included a couple of packets of biscuits, a fan, and air-con.

Basic breakfast is included: make-your-own toast, 3 choices of cereal, some canned fruit salad. Cooked breakfast items can be bought (I didn't try them).

For the price, it's excellent. It isn't luxury, but equally there's absolutely nothing to complain about; unlike with so many other low-cost hotels, there wasn't anything which I felt disappointed by.
