“DO NOT STAY THERE”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 March 2011

I booked the room on the phone with a lady they took the card details and said they payment will be taken when you come on 4 March 11 and your room is booked, and we will give you the recepit at that time when you arrive, I asked them to e-mail me the booking details but they said we do not e-mail any thing. When I reached there at mid night, a man opened the door and the first thing he said was that you have not paid as your card details are not working, so do not have a room for you. I told him that i am suppose to pay when I reach here, I asked him that you could have called me as you have my number and confirm if you wanted the payment earlier, but he became very rude and abusive and said that we do not ring anybody, and told me to leave in the middle of night, so please DO NOT STAY THERE.

“I would rather sleep on the floor in the airport - seriously”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2011

I have stayed in 3rd world accomodation better than this . Where do I begin, smelly , dirty, cold, clientele in the bar dubious, corridors smelled of smoke and food, paper peeling off the walls. Owner is the rudest most horrible individual I have ever come accross in a hotel. I had a serious traumatic travel emergency the morning of my departure and he wouldn't allow me use the phone or internet because it 'would cost him money'. Please don't believe any comments to the contrary this place is dire. Also its a good 25 pounds in a taxi from heathrow so save your money, pay a bit extra and stay nearer the airport.

I paid for the room on line and when we got there they left us standing in the reception whilst they scuffled off and then came back and asked to see the card i had paid with and then said to wait a while and then said they had no rooms, they did say i would recieve a refund but as yet nothing.........Because it was so late i could not find another hotel so had to drive 200 miles home!!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE EVEN IF IT IS CHEAP !!!!!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTLY TERRIBLE SERVICE YOU WOULD BE BETTER OFF STAYING IN A HOMELESS SHELTER AS YOU WOULD GET MORE RESPECT!!!!!

“i loved it here and shall definately return!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 August 2010

Im a single mum with a 12 year old son. We stayed here last week for 6 days and am shocked to read of the comments made by others! Im glad i didn't read them before we went as we loved our time there!
We booked late last Wednesday night and arrived Friday morning. Our room was very nice. Lovely clean furniture, brass lamp and small chandelier light fitting. Flat screen tv. Clean bedding and towels (changed every day). Maids always left room spotless.
Breakfast was very nice. We arrived a little at the last minute for breakfast a few times (its meant to be till 10am) but this was never a problem. They were always polite and always asking if we wanted anymore coffee or toast making (as well as the choice of cereals on offer).
My bed felt a bit creaky after the first night and i noticed one of the slats was broken, so i asked if someone could take a look at it as we went out for the day - when we returned it had all been superbly fixed!
I cant see why someone said the area is scary. I come from a small town and was admitedly a little scared of London at night, but myself and my son came back home after midnight every night and we walked alone from the train station to the B&B every night with no problem at all. Yes there was quite a few men hanging around (mostly coming from the local prayer centre i think going by their clothes) - but they never seemed a threat at all. Most were just drinking tea and chatting in the cafe's along the main street.
The owner was even in bed twice when we got back after midnight (he left a note on door with his mobile number) and he wasn't at all bothered by being woken to let us in.
Everyone that worked there always said hello and goodbye or the lady would ask where we were going in conversation and always asked if we were enjoying our stay. The day we left the owner was saying goodbye to us both and he said to my son "now you take good care of your mum" - thats the way we were treated from beginning to end!
The last day we didn't want to go back home. Ok so this was mostly because we had loved our time in London - but this also included our lovely stay at Heathrow Inn. And the best thing even more is that it only cost us £15 a night each (3 days of non-stop searching and i couldn't find anywhere near better offer). The price didn't even matter though - i will be staying here again - hopefully for a Christmas shopping break!
P.S. as we love travelling i have taken my son abroad to 14 different destinations around the world and so i know all about walking around strange places alone and what to expect from hotels!!
Seeya very soon Heathrow Inn - from Malita and Keegan in Boston :)
