We stayed just the one night ( a Saturday ) as we had booked for the theatre and wanted someone close by. You are struggling to get much closer - about a quarter of a mile away, if that, so an excellent location.

The hotel's owner is fantastic - being very interested in where we had travelled from, who we were going to see, the show we had seen and so on.

I've certainly no complaints, and for the price we paid I was more than happy. Breakfast was good, a full English as you come to expect when staying away from home.

All in all I'd certainly stay here again.

The room was beautifully furnished, but would have been a bit cramped if we were staying for longer than the one night. The vegetarian breakfast was good, although the choice of 8.30 or 8.45 was a bit early, and we weren't asked if we wanted white or brown toast; my boyfriend only eats white bread!

The one draw back was the noisy central heating system, which woke us at 7am, and continued to rumble until we went down for breakfast.

Me and my husband stayed here a few weeks ago. After looking at the great reviews we were looking forward to our weekend away. When we arrived, the landlady chris was very nice and we were shown to room 7. A very small room with no view and smelt stale. Also the bathoom was very small, but we didn't plan on staying in the room only to sleep. There was cups and a kettle, coffee etc but no glasses. My husband went down and asked for 2 glasses, with a reply that was 'what do you need glasses for?'. Me and my husband thought this was extremely rude, as we had payed to stay here and all we wanted were 2 glasses. She said she would get us some and bring them up, after 20 minutes no glasses. My husband went back down and asked again to a reply of 'you have 2 cups in your room, so you don't need any glasses you will have to make do with the cups'. Anyway we decided to get a drink in a GLASS from the pub around the corner, we returned and thought we would watch t.v, haha, it stopped working after 5 minutes. My husband went downstairs to tell them and the reply was 'don't you think it's a bit late to be watching t.v, i am not coming up at this time to fix it''. It was 10.15pm, not exactly what i call late! I will not be returning to this B'n'B, and would not recomend this to my worst enemy, we even left in the morning without having breakfast which we payed for. Absolutely disgusting and very rude, do not stay here!!!

christine is one of the best she,s honest and run,s agood hotel nothing is to much trouble and I will be returning at the end of june with my family
