I had 5 weeks worth of work in Southport and found the Gables hotel. I wanted somewhere in a nice location, somewhere clean, with everyday facilities such as TV, Kitchen, internet, and friendly staff. I got it all. A really nice clean place which I would stay in again if ever in that area again! 5 Star!! Recommend to anyone or family!! well done The Gables.

We found this hotel very accomodating and belive we have now found the perfect answer to those times when extended family want to get together, without the individual purden put on one household. My daugher was 21, and the 'mature relatives' wanted to get together to celebrate. This hotel was excellent and very accomodating with our request., which meant their was enough of us to almost fill the hotel. The B &B rates were very reasonable, and the managment very flexibly friendly. We also hired their homely lounge area of which we were given the self catering option, which suited us perfectly, they even allowed us to decorate the room. I would highly recomend this hotel, based in a more of the residential area of Southport, but was near enough for access to tourist attractions, if required. Rooms and food, clean and traditional. Loved it. We will be back. Cheers

We have stayed here for the past 3 years in order to go to the Flower Show. It is the sort of place that we like in that Paul, the Host and his staff get on with their work in a very non intrusive way. It is close to the town to walk but not too close to have the noise. It has a large car park which is handy to leave the car for the four days of the Show and walk. If you read this and go to the Show this year you will find us there!
PS. I believe their are showers in every room now

We enjoyed a 2 night stay, good location you can walk into town, good pub food and restaurants nearby. I also recommend the traditional english breakfast which sets you up for the day.
