Having read a number of comments on TA regarding this hotel , we were a bit apprehensive in staying - it was a 1 night offer from a discount site.
The checking in was both business like and professional and we were shown our room - it was front facing and was adequate for our needs - on unpacking I opened what I thought was a wardrobe - to find that it was a mini kitchen with microwave and hob. The only downside was that there was limited hanging space for clothes - not an issue for us as we were only staying one night.
Pleasantly surprised with the dinner - we had a 5 course taster menu which came with a bottle of wine, presentation was excellent - think the restaurant might have stretched the soup to a bowl - rather than a cup but otherwise excellent, and the dinning room was full - not with residents but diners , another sign that the food is good.
Finished the stay with a well prepared breakfast that was brought quickly to our table.
Would say that they hotel gets our royal seal of approval
