Oh Dear................. firstly can I say I'm not hard to please, arrived at this hotel and immediatly noticed very little heat in the place, (arn't hotels meant to be inviting and warm places?) well it just went downhill from this point, I booked a superior double room and informed the hotel that I was a single occupancy client, the room was described as sumptuous.................................... well my advise is you forgot to include the description of the not so sumptuous bathroom, I had a bin liner of the previous occupants bathroom rubbish on the floor and the remnants of there own toiletries left in the shower, there was also an almost empty hand wash left on the sink, and the bathroom was like a 1970's disaster, towel rail missing and holes left unfilled, there was a very old heater in the bathroom which didn't work, and a shower that ran hot and cold arrrgh..... promptly went to alert the staff, and was very politely taken to another more sumptuous room......... great I thought.............. until I checked out the bathroom and the all important heating in the room, again Non Existant, went straight back to the lovely girl on duty for the evening, she promptly came to check out the heating, Oh Dear the radiators were not working because they needed bleeding, we then realised the tele remote was missing, we searched together in all the cupboards and drawers but couldn't find the remote...... I felt so sorry for the lovely girl who by this time was totally embarresed by the situation, she asked me if I would like to go back to the original room as this at least had heating, I agreed but only because I had an important function to attend at the Floral Hal in 2 hoursl.
I saw no sign of any Manager or senior member of staff at this hotel and was very concerned.
My advise is...........Do not advertise yourself as a sumptuous hotel when all that is sumptuous is the curtains and the bedding, all of which is probably hired...................
I rate this hotel as very poor and say to the manager or owners, sort out the bathrooms.........
