This is a great hotel found the location to be well situated. The reception is a lifts ride up to the 1st floor but not a problem. We choose Ramada as i work for a large telecom company in Newbury lol and often use them for business. Room was great, food and facilities were great. Only small issue was a very rude receptionist when we left who simply said key no please or did you enjoy contacted hotel but seem unintrested. Dont let that put you off as all the other staff were great.

We stayed at this hotel on 4.2.12. Could not have picked a worse weekend weatherwise but thoroughly enjoyed our short time at the hotel. Reception staff very efficient and our room was on the 3rd floor, didn't have much of a view but as we were only staing for one night we didn't mind. The evening meal was included in our stay and although it was very nice the portions were very small. The breakfast was good because it was all you can eat and self service. Staff in the restaurant in the evening and at breakfast were very nice. Would stay here again if we got another deal but don't think we wold pay the full asking price otherwise.

Stayed for one night 07/02/12, room on the fifth floor was clean and well equipped, the cleanliness was a big improvement compared with our last visit!

As can be expect from a well managed hotel, reception staff were welcoming and friendly.

That evening we had planned on dining at an Italian restaurant across the road from the hotel call 51; things did not work out as we had expected as it was closed that evening! Being a bitterly cold evening so we decided to give the restaurant at the hotel another try, with the last meal at the hotel being so bad this was a brave decision. But we made the right choice the meal was well cooked and well presented, staff that evening could not have been better. We are looking forward to our next visit to this hotel.

....but nothing special by any means. We stayed here because it was a Christmas present (overnight stay with 3 course meal and breakfast) and we had to use it by 31st March. Entering through the underground carpark doesn't show the hotel off to its best, but having the underground car park is a massive plus! The hotel looks nice and is spotlessly clean but is a bit too open which makes it feel cold. The staff on reception were fast, friendly and efficient and told us everything we needed to know.

The room was very clean and nice enough, the pillows and the bed were not the comfiest I have ever slept on but they were fine.

The set menu wasn't to my taste but we could go off the main menu and pay a supplemental cost - we both chose to do this. The food again was fine, but nothing special. Unfortunately the restaurant had no atmosphere which to be fair is typical of most hotel restaurants - although I am amazed this brings in the locals.

There were some less than desirable guests which didn't ruin the stay but it was an issue for me personally.

We didn't have breakfast as we slept in and had to leave by 10am, but I am sure that once again it would have been 'fine'.

On the whole it was an enjoyable stay but not somewhere I would choose to visit again, but I think this is more down to personal taste....the best thing about this hotel is the staff, couldn't fault any of them.
