“Clean, tidy and ideal”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 July 2011

We stayed for two nights. The rooms are clean tidy and large. They have been modernised so all well and good.

The breakfast was great. Nice selection.

Good location too. We managed to park for free.

The staff are very pleasant.

Only issues are that the bathrooms although clean do require updating. They are a bit tired. And also one of tr rooms was very noisy through night from a drainage pipe passing the window.

Overall I'd recomend for the price.

“Perfectly Perfect!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 April 2011

I could also say “flawless, second to none, and unexcelled.” By way of background, over the years my wife and I have visited all parts of the UK on holiday, staying in dozens of B&Bs/Guest Houses. As a life-long faultfinder, I was frankly surprised that I could not find anything to gripe about at the Ivy Bank Guest House. It was easy to find, parking was not a problem on Harding Street, it really was just a few short minutes walk to the town centre, Anne and Steve take credit cards, and they offer an "over 60's" discount. We stayed for 3 nights in a spotlessly-clean, large, sunny, double room with a king-size bed looking on Harding Street, which was very quiet. It was perfect. The breakfast room and full-cooked breakfasts, juices, fruits, and cereals also were perfect. And our hostess, Anne, could not have been nicer. One morning, an older guest lamented the apparent disappearance from the stores of a particular condiment that he had enjoyed years ago. That day, Anne somehow found this condiment in Tenby and made him a gift of it the next morning. Anne made us feel completely at home. She has a ready smile and a good sense of humor that resulted in some memorable laughs at breakfast. We recommend the Ivy Bank Guest House without any hesitation or qualifications. It can't be beat.

“Wonderful B+B”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

Located on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the town centre, beach and railway station, this B+B was excellent.

The room was airy and clean, and the breakfast was sublime, served in an attractively furnished dining room.

The landlady was charming, as was the young woman who served breakfast. First rate.

“Can't beat the location!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 October 2010

We stayed overnight at the Ivy Bank in October, and were charmed by the establishment and its proprietors. We were dragging our luggage (on a two-week holiday) and the location right outside the train station couldn't have been better. Our room was neat, clean, and quiet. The proprietors were friendly and informative about the town, and gave us all sorts of information. And the breakfast was fantastic. It's less than five minutes to walk to the town center, the beach, and restaurants.

“Friendly hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2010

We stayed at this hotel for a long bank holiday weekend. The hotel is situated about 5 minutes walk to the beach front. We stayed in room 1 which although small it had the bonus of having the bunk beds in a seperate room. The showeroom was adequate for its size. There was a selection of free local papers with the usual local advice which was useful. Breakfast was well presented and a good selection was offered.
Car parking was a problem in the street but the railway station car park was only ywo minutes walk away and £3 for 24 hours parking.
Temby itself has probably the best beach i have ever been on. The town was very busy and in the evening it was a struggle to get a table for a family of four. That apart a very pleasant break in a very nice B&B in a lovely part of the world
