We stayed at The Broadmead in June 2011, as it was relatively close to Skomar Island. I booked £120 superior double room. I'm not sure how small the ordinary double room was but our room was small, just a double bed, a wardrobe and a dressing table. It was tired looking, not that it would matter but it did smell fusty and the bathroom was old and not overly clean with the shower really a trickle.
We did ask to be moved but the other rooms we saw were some sort of garden rooms that you crossed the lawn to get in & appeared damp and not regularly used, so we stayed put. As it was a weekend and we were going out during the day we stayed there rather than leave and weren't offered any refund or discount.
There were no toileties just sachets of cheap goods and 1 packet of biscuits for the whole stay! We did eat once in the restaurant which was ok - unfortunately the wine was off when opened, at breakfast you have your alloted table & it was also ok.
The fire alarm also went off in the night as they had an electrical fault and along with other guests we wandered about until it appeared to be over.

We stayed on the 16th September just for the one night, and after reading some of the reviews, were open minded, we arrived to be greeted by a member of staff, who showed us to our room, room 10, the room was quite bigger than I thought it would be, all nicely laid out, TV, tea and coffee, and clean, the shower and toilet was also spotless.

The next morning, we went for breakfast and there so much variety, more than enough, plently of choice and the waitresses were very friendly and we were served within minutes of taking our seats. I would highly recommend this hotel, one night was not enough and I could have easily stayed longer.

Booked online and very pleased. Arrived too early to check in but was given a warm welcome with coffee/tea and toast..Room was made available early for us as we had a busy weekend ahead of us. Room was a little on the small side and slightly dated but clean and comfortable.We ate at the hotel in the evening and had the most fantastic meal, everything was homemade and delicious (even tartare sauce was homemade).Staff very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. would reccommend and stay here again.
