“Tenby's best kept secret”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 November 2010

I have stayed at Kingsbridge guest house many times and every time I stay there the service seems to get better and better. Nicky and Huw are so warm and inviting, and will acquire to anything you want! the parking is very good- and the breakfasts are amazing!just across the road there is an Indian Restaurant and the food - Excellent, so pretty much everything I hoped for!
thanks for a great holiday Nick+Huw!
and good luck with the baby :) xx

“Low on hospitality & overpriced”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 July 2010

We stayed at the Kingsbridge recently based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. We were quite surprised that it really didn't live up to the reviews. The main issue was that we really felt it was a burden for the owners to have guests stay, there was no feeling of hospitality or welcome. For example breakfast is for 45mins from 8.30-9.15 am. You have to order what you want the day before, and the selection for breakfast wasn't great. The whole house stank of fried food so that all your clothes reeked. They offer parking to 3 guests but you cannot even leave the car for 1 hour after 10am check out while you make your onward plans as it is too inconvenient. The room was also very disappointing. The bed was tiny, the sheets and towels were old, faded & stained. The water pressure in the shower was so low I could barely wet my hair. There was rust on the shower head. The toilet paper was the cheapest quality I have ever used. There were signs in the room regarding damage to property, calling the police, fining guests etc that just made you feel very unwelcome. The curtains were thin & didn't fit the window fully so you were awake the moment the sun was up. I would say the only good thing about this guesthouse is the location. Staying elsewhere & paying £3 for parking would be a much better idea, the supposed perk of parking here isn't worth it. Overall we felt we were very much overcharged for feeling very unwelcome at this B&B.

“not full size double beds”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 November 2009

a nice place to stay.very handy for town.car parking available.very clean.nice breakfast. we booked a double room and had one that contained a set of bunk beds as well!! the only down side of our stay was the size of the so called double beds.they were only 3/4 size beds. when the proprietor was asked about this he insisted that all the beds were the same size and stated that we were obviously wrong. sorry but i had my tape measure out and ours only measured 42 inches.I do not like being called a liar.

“lovely holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 September 2009

We stayed at the Kingsbridge guest house for a few days in August and had a lovely time. From the moment we got there we were made to feel really welcome by Huw & NIcky & nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely & breakfast was fantastic! Can highly recommend the boiled eggs! It was really handy to be able to park the car in the garage at the B&B as the parking can be quite tricky in Tenby. It was a short walk to the town centre where there is plenty going on & nice pubs & restaurants, Can recommend Cube for a lovely meal & the buccaneer Inn is good for food & live music. We would like to take our daughter with us next time for a break & will be returning, Thanks again Huw & Nicky for a lovely holiday!

“Fab trip once again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 24 August 2009

Just returned from our 4th stay in as many years at this guest house. It really is a hidden gem!
Nicky and Huw have kept thier standards high and the level of hospitality they provide is great.

The rooms - we have stayed in nearly all of them now, all are really clean and provide ample refreshments, clean fluffy towels, hairdryers, clock radios etc.

The breakfast - honestly one of the best we have eaten, and we have stayed in our fair share of top London Hotels! Nicky is always willingly to make whatever combination of full Welsh you require :)

The location - just a short walk away from the sea front, which means you are only a short distance away from any of the lovely beaches in Tenby.
(There are also limited parking spaces available too, with public parking just 1 minute away - something which certainly lacks elsewhere in Tenby)
