We returned today after spending a smashing weekend with friends at the Fourcroft Hotel and can really recommend it. Initially, we had only booked in for one night, but decided at the last minute to stay another. The staff are great....friendly - nothing too much trouble! Always service with a smile! The negative comments from one guest I found to be very unfair.
Yes, in our room there was carpet up the side of the bath.....no problem though. Everything was spotlessly clean, lovely white fluffy towels. Shower was good and quite powerful, with the water temperature easy to control. We were given adjoining rooms 32 and 34 which had wonderful views over beach and Tenby Harbour could be seen clearly to the right. The bed was very comfortable, and again everything was spotlessly clean. The floor was a bit creaky, but again, it didn't pose a problem for us. In an old building you can expect that. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits supplied in room.
On our first morning we awoke to the most fantastic sunrise over Tenby - what a sight! Breakfast is lovely, plentiful. Lots of choices. Great coffee! Again, we had two lovely waitresses who were very helpful, and also once again service with a smile. To our regret we did not eat at the hotel in the evening, but wish we had. But other guests informed us that the food in the hotel restaurant is wonderful, and I would not doubt this. The menu certainly looked good.
As for parking, yes, it is difficult, but there is a large car park a very short walk away, and from October it is free to park until Spring. You don't need to struggle with cases from the car park to hotel as it is possible to park to unload first. There is a hotel car park to the rear of the hotel, but this does get very busy. Small charge of £4.000 to park, if there is room. Tenby harbour and town centre only a short and very pleasant stoll away.
If there was any negative point, and this is really being picky, was that I would have liked an iron in the room. But I know, if I had asked for one it would have been available without question.
We will certainly visit this hotel again, and have no hesitation in recommending the Fourcroft Hotel to all.
