I stayed on this site recently with two other couples, all having young children.
Where do I start?
1. Toilet conditions - dirty all of the time, the idea of cleaning seemed to be to pour a bucket of water on the floor and let it dry.
2. Two urinals and three male sit down toilets for the whole site.
3. Showers, very small, if anything is inside the shower area, expect it to get wet. Also, unless you have tiny shoulders, don't expect to turn around in there. Lack of anywhere to hang anything including washbag. Another treat in store if you use the third shower on the right (again only three to cover whole site), expect to be standing in other peoples shower water as they all go to the drain in this shower, this is particularly nice if somebody has bypassed the toilets and peed in the shower. Choose your shower time wisely, as hot water is hit and miss.
4. Push button taps - these stay on one second at most, so you have to be a magician to be able to wash your face without keeping one of your hand on the tap. No plugs. You also have to guess which tap is which, for some reason all taps appear to be marked as the hot tap.
5. Games room - this is an old portakabin which looks like it need to be condemned
6. Electric hookup - This is a 6 amp supply, so if you need to use electrics, expect to be going back and forth to reset the box.
7. Water Supply - Tap in the middle of the field, which empties onto two bricks, this creates a lovely muddy puddle, if like my son you watch peppa pig, then expect them to get muddy.
8. Being in the Waste Management industry, I was quite surprised to see them burning their site waste in an old skip, I am sure the EA would have something to say about this. If the owners are reading this, I suggest you stop this immediately.
With more and more people holidaying in the Uk and spending a lot more money on camping equipment, we expect standards to be better, basics such as plenty of clean toilets / washing facilities are a must. This site is basic and outdated, unless you are the type of camper who just likes camping in a field, I would suggest looking elsewhere in Tenby.
