As a last minute booking we were pleased to be able to get a pitch at Mill Park. Easy to get to and set in a beautiful village nestled between Combe Martin and Ilfracombe. Being in a motor home we needed public transport which was easily accessed at the end of the road (if somewhat sporadic with the timings!!).
We found thaestaff poliite and helpful and the site was clean with all the usual washing facilities etc available 24 hours a day. We went with our 2 children aged 10 and 1. Our 10 year old was quite bored. There is a small play area (2 swings, slide and mini zip wire) and that was it. The lane was too narrow to let him play on his bike there. If it wasn't for the presence of a few other kids, it would have been a nightmare for him. There is a games room however it is small and cramped and the games are very outdated. Our 1 year old loved the open space and baby swing but be on your guard.. there is a great fishing pool but no fencing around it. Drinks were extremely well priced as was the takeaway (only open Thurs to Sun). Sadly, the carp in the fishing pool had gone on annual leave but I have it on good authority that the bream and roach were very obliging! For walkers please note that the road into Berrynarbour village is VERY steep and the is no pavement for much of the walk to Combe Martin. On the plus side, it is less than a mile from Watermouth Castle - a great day out. Overall, a lovely site, very peaceful, very beautiful and very good value for money but I would suggest a couples site rather than family unless you have transport and are planning to be off site most days.
