“"Wonderful guest house, welcoming hosts."”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

From the moment we arrived at Sea Breeze House, to a very warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the friendly proprietors, Richard and Annette. Their attention to detail is second to none, from the excellent breakfast to the provision of fresh milk in the room, instead of the mini plastic pots one usually finds in most establishments. Although we didn't personally partake, they provide cooked meals on Friday and Saturday evenings out of season, when many local eateries are closed, but are also very helpful in recommending places to eat in the area. Another nice touch is the mini fridge in the room with various drinks and chocolate bars and the complimentary bottled water in the room. And talking of rooms, the bedrooms we had (one double and one twin) were lovely, warm and comfortable. All in all, a real gem of a find.

“Lovely place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 February 2012

A lovely B&B - owners Annette and Richard could not go further out of their way to make you feel at home. The room was comfortable and warm, and included the usual tea and coffee facilities as well as a fully stocked mini-bar. The owners were extremely friendly (but without being over-the-top) and recommended plenty of local restaurants for us to try. They even called and booked us a table for the local tapas restaurant we chose. I would definitely visit again.

“Lovely place, a great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 October 2011

A big thank you to the owners, Annette & Richard, who made us feel very welcome. The breakfasts were excellent quality and very plentiful! They were both very helpful and also very knowledgeable about the local area. The double top floor room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. They have thought of little extra touches that make staying there a lovely experience. The house is a beautiful Victorian building and there are a lot of original features still in the house, it has a great character. We had a great 2 day break, thank you!

“Service with a smile”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

We were greeted at the door by Richard, the owner of the B&B with an enthusiastic smile.

Great pride is taken in this traditional old fashioned guest house. In some ways it was like a step back in time, in others it was bang up-to-date with the current expectations of the modern traveller.

There is parking provided right outside the guest house. It's a tall building though, so travel light especially if you're on the top floor. They'll let you know on booking whether that's the case.

Nice extra touches were that they're licensed throughout and so there's a mini-bar and snacks provided in the room and also a bar downstairs.

Recommendations for food are readily available and we enjoyed a fantastic meal at Richard's recommendation at 'Chimes of St James' down near the harbour.

The room, although compact was comfortable, the bathroom well finished with everything you'd need provided.

A very pleasant stay and would happily return again if I was down that way.

“Very friendly hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 July 2011

An excellent overnight stay. Nothing seemed too much trouble on arrival. A complete rundown on attractions etc. in the vacinity. Advise on how to get around the local area and what to do and where to go during the evening for a meal. Breakfast, pre-booked, was excellent and more than adequate. Apart from the early morning wake up call of the traffic outside the open front bedroom window, I would recommend the Sea Breeze to anyone.

Room Tip: Ask if a room at the rear of the building is available
