From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel welcome by Linda and Richard. We didn't tell them until the day we arrived that one of us required a gluten free diet but that didn't faze them one bit and low and behold the next morning there was a lovely gluten free breakfast which was a real treat ! The room was very clean and there were clean towels every day if required. It was very quiet so a good nights sleep was easy to get and no rush for breakfast. We could get a drink from the bar downstairs every evening if we wanted one too. There were plenty of different places to eat out and the town its self was pleasant to walk around day and night. All in all a very relaxing and pleasant experience, thankyou Richard and Linda !

This is the second time we've stayed here and been well looked after both times. The house is large and has a spacious airy feel. Parking is easy. The guests can sit in the gardens, back and front and have breakfast in the garden on sunny mornings - that's a real treat!
The house is spotless - the cleanest B & B I've ever stayed in. The rooms and en-suites are well fitted with furniture, beds comfortable, and there is a mini-bar, safe, wi-fi - so really it's an hotel.
The owners are friendly without being over familiar and go out of their way to accomodate 'special requests'. Breakfast is served until 11am so no rush to get up!! Lots of choices for breakfast and they also service dinner if requested.
The thing I particularly like is it doesn't have is that 'sleeping in a spare room' feel that pervades so many B & Bs.

Richard and Linda were very welcoming, helpful and efficient hosts. The room had all the amenities of a good business hotel, was spacious and very clean. The location is ideal, with no hills to climb in order to reach the Ilfracombe seafront and harbour. The breakfast was generous and made-to-order. My room was at the front, but despite that, there was virtually no traffic noise and I had a restful stay. I have stayed at several other B&Bs in this town, and Westaway was by far the best. Will definitely stay there again.

We arrived at 11 am Sunday 14 Sep 08 & we were greeted by Linda as though we were long lost friends, shown to our rooms which were wonderful, clean, spacious, with a nice view towards the town, the breakfast was as nice as any I have ever had.
Richard & linda were wonderful hosts & nothing was to much trouble, I would recomend this hotel to anybody looking for accommodation in the area of Ilfracombe.
