“Lovely guest house would reccomend to everyone”

In August 2008, my family and I visited Ilfracombe and came across the Wildercombe House guest house.
Situated on St Brannocks road as you enter the town it offers a beautiful view looking down on the rest of the town and the sea.
The house itself is a beautifully refurbished victorian building, we stayed in room 1 which is ideal for 2 adults and 2 children with ensuite. (the children`s part is separate to the main bedroom).
The 3 night stay included full english breakfast which was a great start to the day served by Sarah and Ellen, who are two of the nicest hosts together with Mike and Dean they run Wildercombe house between them and I have to say that I will be returning to Ilfracombe and will be staying at the Wildercombe again.
The benefits of the location was Fantastic views, Beautiful period property, great hosts, minutes from the harbour and main routes to other parts of Devon. Mike, Ellen, Sarah and Dean could not do enough to make us welcome.
If you plan on going to Devon, I highly reccomend this guest house

“Great building, great people, great time”

I found it hard to find as it is a little away from the sea front. But when I got inside I was greeted to a professional propieter that was obviously very experienced in the B&B trade. The rooms were so clean and comfortable. The grounds were stunning and the whole atmosphere had a very welcome homely feel to it. The price was great (i would have paid more) I even asked for a sandwich and it was taken to my room at no extra charge! (being an American I felt the need to tip however) My tip was reluctatntly accepted! (gotta love the Brits) My early call was on time, which I requested and I came down to one of the best breakfasts I have ever had...They just don't make them like this in the States. My tour around the beautiful countryside of Devon was topped off by a stay in such a great establishment. Thankyou to the staff and the hospitality, it will always be a memory I will hold.

A recently refurbished B&B which stands out from the rest. Spacious rooms, spotlessly clean, large residents carpark, family room available. Huge breakfast - with top ups of drinks & toast! Lovely large victorian house with seaviews, ideal for singles/couples or families.
