Booked a 3 night break for my husband & myself. Chose the Foxhunters Inn due it's accessability to nearby attractions. On arrival we were greeted by Mike, the owner, who checked us in immediately and took us to our room. We stayed in room 1 which was a 4 poster with views out onto the front & main road. ~Don't be put off by reviews regarding the road. Not half as bad as some reviews make out & the secondary glalzing in the room meant we had no problem with road noise. TV in the room a little on the small size but this is just a comment, not a criticism. The room was clean and the bed very comfy. I requested an extra pillow and within 5 minutes one was brought up to our room.
We paid extra for breakfast. Fruit juice & cereal and a full english which was beautifully cooked and good quality ingredients. We only ate in one night - food was hot and nicely presented but perhaps a little overpriced for what you had but could not complain about the quality.
The owners Mike & Pauline are such a lovely couple who really did their best to make our stay welcoming. The staff at the Foxhunters were all very friendly and we could not fault the service. Excellent choice of drinks and bar open from midday till late. Another good point that the bus stops are almost outside the Inn so if you fancy a night out & don't want to drive you can just hop oin the bus.
Overall I'd rate The Foxhunters Inn as excellent value for money. If you want 4 star accommodation then you have to pay 4 star prices. We would definately stay here again.
