Gilmore absolutely deserves a full 5 stars. The rooms were cosy but beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches and plenty of space. Great bathrooms, spacious, well fitted out, Beds supremely comfortable. Charming hostess. This place is way above the normal standard for its category and incidentally, excellent value. We will return with pleasure.

My cousin and I stayed at Gilmore House the night before starting our 5 day walk on the Cateran Trail. Our stay here certainly got us off to a good start! The rooms were lovely, but it was the food that caught our attention. Oh my! We had never experienced anything like the Perthshire breakfast that greeted us in the morning. It was the most amazing breakfast I have ever been served. As it turned out, we ended up walking 18 miles that day, so it was good we had eaten such a substantial meal!

I can't wait to return to Scotland, and when I do I will be spending a few nights in Blairgowrie again just so I can enjoy the hospitality of the Gilmore House.

I stayed at Gilmore House during the Blairgowrie Walking festival. Bedrooms are very comfortable with an amazing selection of teas and coffees on a tray - oh and some sweets! Bathroom has lovely fluffy towels, a good shower and again a selection of goodies to use. Beds are extra comfy with a mattress topper and superb quality sheets and covers. I did not have time to make proper use of the sitting rooms, but one of these is upstairs with great views and a handy pair of binoculars. Breakfast is excellent with a great choice, including fresh Blairgowrie berries, muffins as well as the cooked to order items chosen on the morning. Jill was extra accommodationg and gave us a cooked breakfast at 7am as we had an early start. (some others of our walking group at different B&Bs could only get cereal at this early hour) Jill also dried my soaking clothes and boots. You would really expect to pay more for the comfort and splendid breakfasts provided. Ace place.

When I go back to Blairgowrie there's only one place I'll be staying! The rooms are delightful. The highlights are the cleanliness of the rooms and facilities, the lovely guest sitting rooms, the (eco-friendly) mini kettle ; ), the bed-oh-so-comfy and the relaxed yet welcoming atmosphere. Jill is an extremely accomodating host who does her very best to make your stay enjoyable. I would highly recommend Gilmore House to anyone.
