Having read the other reviews I was looking forward to my stay, however I was disappointed. The rooms are tired and in need of updating, in fact in my opinion the entire hotel needs an overhaul and some modernisation. The chap in charge was a bit pushy - when I called to book to stay for a night, he asked why I wasnt staying for two nights (!), and when we arrived he gave us a bit of hard sell to have dinner in the hotel. He told us that the food in the hotel was 'the best in town', however another guest told us the food wasn't great and had gone downhill since last year. There was no milk in the room for coffee - not even those horrible small plastic containers. Finally, we agreed with the owner to have breakfast at 9.30am, but when we went down in the morning the whole place was locked up and in darkness. We waited for 15 minutes then went to a nearby cafe for some food instead. When we got back to the hotel at 10.30am other guests were eating breakfast. In all, I found the hotel dated, the owner pushy, and the ambience bland.
