“Wonderful, relaxing , escape”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 January 2012

Kinloch house is a magnificent country house with spacious , sumptuous accommodation . The attentive staff made our stay even more special. The smell of the log fire, the comfortable sofas the well stocked bar, delicious food, no detail has been overlooked. I cannot recommend this hotel enough , if you want to get away from it all this is THE place to go.

I traveled with my other half ( we weekend away as mush as possible ) and this has to be in our top 5 places to stay.
We will be back.

“Superb Country House Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

We (husband and I) are just back from a superb one night stay at Kinloch House. We, like most folks, work hard and so, in need of a top class break, enjoyed our visit immensely. It was all good for us: afternoon arrival/ greeting by Paul/ car parked for us/ warm welcome into the lovely house... tea, cake and shortbread tray arrived minutes after ordering with happy smiling service - she politely refused a tip, good fresh food and so on. The house, although built in 1840, has an Edwardian elegance too and yes, parts are decorated in sumptuous 90's furnishings - which means comfort and a touch of glamour too. We had free wifi and flat screen tv/radio 'on tap' and a super large bathroom with lashings of hot water which arrived faster than it does at home! Lovely walks for fresh air and exercise and a glass of champagne by the roaring log fire before dinner are recommended.
The bill was a pleasant surprise too -
thank you Kinloch House, we'll be back.

“Very Peaceful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 December 2011

This is a very fine setting. The room was very nice and comfortable, the food was fantastic. Menu choice was very good, service was impeccable. The atmosphere is old world charm. Very warm and friendly, set in a nice picturesque part of the world. Recommended.

Room Tip: If your into that traditional country house thing, then go for it. Top of the game this place.

“Lovely Surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 November 2011

The surprise was how absolutely superb this residence turned out to be. We had purchased a discount voucher not realizing we would be in for such a treat. We were greeted at the door and shown to our room in the main house, number 9, with a view over fields with highland cows and horses. In the distance was the lovely Pertshire landscape. The room itself was beautifully decorated to every detail. Furnishings, draperies, and wallpaper coordinated with the antique yet comfortable furniture. The room felt as if it belonged in a private home rather than a hotel. The bath was sumptuous and the terrycloth robes were welcome.

We enjoyed afternoon tea with lemon and chocolate cakes as well as a generous shortbread biscuit. Dinner was another surprise. We both ordered the lobster starter with grilled endive and fennel accompanied by a citrus sauce. The portions were more than generous and this was lobster! I enjoyed the chicken breast for a main while partner loved his venison. We struggled happily with desserts, he a trio of sorbets, mine a cherry-almond tart. Wine list was appropriate and not over the top for cost.

Our night's sleep was comfortable and breakfast the next morning was ordered from a menu. The porridge with cream deserves special mention, the bacon a bit dry.

All these creature comforts were included in the price, bar the drinks and wine, and we left with smiles on our faces to face the drizzle of a November day.
