Booked at last minute, arrived late, none of this was any problem. Warm welcome on arrival and a wee supper was easily arranged in the bar. Dinner on the Saturday was excellent; beautifully slow cooked food, served with grace. Any issues were dealt with immediately and it was a joy to watch the peacocks while having breakfast. 1,200 listed trees in the grounds, have a grand walk then amble into town.

This hotel is just what you need when travelling to a remote area - it was warm, friendly and had attentive service. I really thought the hotel food was great and would recomend the venison. It is a great base to see the delights of Scotland. My only compliant was that my time was over too quickly at Altamount!

Stayed here for five nights on business and had to be away before breakfast started at 8a.m. When the staff realised this they brought the staff in early so as I could have breakfast at 7a.m!
Marvellous to have a cooked breakfast when you are on the road all day! Very comfortable bedroom with free W.I.F.I and the meals in the evening were very good. All the staff were very attentive and nothing was to much trouble. Will definately stay again.

My partner and I stayed here for one night on a late deal and very much enjoyed our stay. We stayed with our dog so were allocated a courtyard room. The room was relatively spacious, clean and had good quality furniture. The bathroom was clean and bright, although the shower was a little tempremental at times. Breakfast in the hotel was lovely, not just a buffet style breakfast but waitress service in a lovely furnished room. The staff were only too happy to bring you extra toast and coffee and all the staff we had dealings with were very polite and friendly. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
