I have just returned from a 5 day stay at this hotel as part of a Travelstyle holiday. The location of the hotel is fantastic, you are only a minutes walk from the beach, town and bus stops. When we arrived we were being asked what we wanted for our evening meal even before we had been given our keys for our rooms. We had a room on the top floor and I asked if anyone could help me with my case. The response was we dont have porters you will have to try your best. I did get some help eventually. The meals were delicious and there was a good choice. It was very annoying however to get asked throughout your breakfast to fill in the menu for the evening, I felt I couldnt enjoy my breakfast at all. Entertainment was very good. Accommodation was clean but basic but there was no where really comfy to sit in the room and the bed was very uncomfortable.

This is a good basic family run hotel with a personal touch. Ideal for older people and young families, with traditional bar entertainment in the evenings during high season. It is in good location just 5 minutes walk from the pier and beach. Also good for anyone on a walking holiday, good value.

The room was clean, everything in working order. 'Traditional' English breakfast offered with variations on request, including vegetarian option.

The accommodation was part of Anderson Tours' weekend trip to the Isle of Wight.
The rooms may not be five star, but has everything you need - clean linen, ensuite bathroom/wc, kettle, TV and plenty room for your bags.
Nice walking distance to the high street and beach.
Breakfast a fuss-free, cheap and cheerful affair.
Do not be put off by the negative reviews, this hotel is absolutely fine, providing you are reasonable.

Stayed at the corner house hotel for 3nights as a package deal, bed and breakfast, We requested a double and what we got was two single beds push together and by the end of the stay i had a really bad back due to the bed being the hardest and lumpy bed i had the plessure in sleeping in. Our room was above the Kitichen so every morning att 0630 we could hear everything and everyone that was making/doing breakfast. What top of the stay from hell. When i come back to the hotel approx 1800 on Saturday night. I had lost my key so had to ring on the bell as the fronk door was locked and no one answered. Taxi driver who took me back called the hotel on he's mobile and then the owner come back after 30mins waiting. Very upset as at me for stoping him having dinner with friends and told me off for losing the key. He gave us the second key but still by the end of the stay charged us GBP 30.00 FOR THE LOST KEY! It was as a simple front door key which would of cost about £1.50 do get done.
