I was also on the Shaw trip with the below 'complainers'. My wife and I had a fantastic time. irene & greg (The owners) were fantastic hosts and yes the rooms may not have been laced with gold, and the food not michelin starred. But the two rooms we used were clean and comfy and the food cooked well and was tasty. But what some people need to realise is in life you get what you pay for. For the money i paid for this trip I feel i got my moneys worth. One issue that i have was a group of six people on the coach who moaned and complained constantly. No doubt those people below i assume. I'm not sure the relevance of complaining about being asked what you want for an evening meal, and a short conversation about what you want for breakfast? Not really worth complaining.
If some people take the time to try and enjoy their stay instead of being miserable then maybe they would lighten up. We have booked again to go to this hotel. I am ex army and have stayed in some horrible places, this is not one of them and i thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
As for complaining about the sign stating no running etc it clearly states on the sign that the message was for the school groups that stay at the hotel. Which goes to show how poor the stature of peoples complaints are.
Greg and Irene, thankyou for our stay, and we are sorry that some people seem to think for a low privce they can expect luxury. Looking forward to seeing you again.
