“Great Experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 August 2010

What a great experience! From the first initial greeting to the final goodbye we had such a lovely time at this guesthouse.. The family run business has your best interest in mind when you stay with them. They are friendly, informative and caring. We had one of our best experiences in this modern and clean guesthouse. We have 2 little daughters and they both loved the experience from the trampoline out back to the play room which was great on rainy days. We highly recommend this guesthouse!! the only small issue was the location of the guesthouse by a main road at night time where you can hear some traffic.

“Looks good but owners cancelled booking!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 July 2010

When looking this place looked idea as wanted a two room place. I actually went to the trouble of calling to check it was ok to book even though we had two children and they asked for a minimum of 3. The owner told me they would waive it on this occassion so booked hotel and ferry. Next day I received an e-mail saying they would only go ahead if we paid another £17 per night (even though it would cost £8 if I did it online). I wrote back explaining my phone conversation with her husband saying he would waive the extra cost.....no reply. So I called only to be told it was all getting too complicated and they would cancel my booking and promptly hung up the phone......was appauled. Rung back immediately to be told they had more exquiries (which explained why they no longer wanted to take my booking). They have since ignored all messages!!!!!! Now got to look again but now have specific dates due to ferry booking! Not happy at all and would not recommend to anyone. Rant now finished!!

“Great 4 Families - A Pleasant Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 May 2010

This is the ideal hotel for families with young children. Great garden and common area with toys and outdoor activities. There were even toys kept in the family suite we stayed. It was so nice to be able to book one suite for our family of 5. The room is basic but has a few nice amenities. It was exceptionally clean but not very spacious. Ideal for the overnight stay we were needing. Breakfast was great, once again, making it ideal for families. Pressed coffee was appreciated. An overall pleasant experience with delightful inn keeps.

“Hotel standard - B&B personal touch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 July 2009

Stayed a few times at the Beaufort. New owners a delight. Lots of thought to make life comfortable. Tea/Coffee/biscuits/TV. Excellent shower - none of your pokey little cupboard shower - a proper cubicle complete with soap etc... Comfortable beds with crisp sheets and duvets. Big dining room overlooking the large garden with slides and trampoline. Plenty of room to sit on the balcony. Food excellent and lovely and hot. Licenced bar, childrens p[lay room with videos, tv,toys and air hockey!! Separate seating area and another lounge if you want to get away from the kids. Off road parking too. Just down the road to the high street and miles of sandy beaches. This is Isle Of Wight at its best!

“A great B&B!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 June 2008

Stayed at the Beaufort House Hotel so we could go to the Isle of Wight Festival. Hotel is easy to find, with a handy bus stop across the road, and is 5 minutes walk from the town and beachfront.
B&B was very clean and comfortable - Room provides those additional extras such as TV and tea/coffee facilities that you usually only get in hotels.
Positives: Great cooked breakfast - Best I've had in some time!
You get a key to the front door, so you can come and go at any time of the day or night without disturbing anyone.
Really nice welcoming hosts
House is large and has a bar and TV room for a homely stay.
Slight issues : Room didn't have central heating (had an electric heater) and I noticed some damp on the wall. It didnt smell damp, but I'm guessing it would be fairly cold in the room in colder months.
Room cost £80 a night, which is a little costly for a B&B - Happy to pay it as the festival was on, but for that price, I'd usually go for a hotel.
Overall, a great stay - would recommend for anyone requiring a comfortable, hassle free stay in the Isle of Wight.
