Spur of the moment booking, attracted by the great reviews, ignored the single "bad" one, clearly must been in a different hotel. Great room, light and airy,newly decorated, full body shower, lashings of shampoo and shower gel. Two nice touches, his and her's razors and his and her's disposable sandles. Personally, I dislike walking around a strange room in bare feet so G8 bonus. Fresh milk in fridge and filtered water, TV with built-in DVD player and connection for Ipod. FREE wi-fi access. No cooked breakfast BUT.,then NO food smells wafting through the hotel (G8 plus). Continental breakfast with HUGE selection of "goodies" to eat. Two boiled eggs and two slices of toast and marmalade was quite enought for me. Jan and her Mum very friendly and very helpful. They are clearly very proud of their hotel and want guests to feel relaxed and "at-home" AAA+++ rating from my wife and me. PS I did not try the pool., Be guided by other reviews/comment

This is the third time my husband and I have stayed here with friends for the Isle of Wight Scooter rally. The hotel is so relaxed it is just like being at home. Jan and Joan are lovely and will go out of their way to ensure that you have a brilliant stay. Once again our room was spotless and comfortable and we were very very happy with the service provided. Thanks Jan and see you next year and I will bring my swimwear!

The room was on the small side but very clean and well-decorated. It was noisy with the window open with traffic from the road but we closed the window and had the air-conditionning on. There were some nice touches such as face wipes. The breakfast was a continental one but there was a lot in ters of both quantity and choice. Jan, the landlady, was very helpful and friendly. We thought it was good value.
