“A lovely place to stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 September 2011

My wife and 4 year old daughter have just had a lovely stay at The Town House.
It's ideally located on the front at Douglas, within easy reach of the local shops and amenities, and all public transport services.
The apartment we had was furnished to an excellent standard, with lovely, comfy beds, a plasma tv mounted on the wall, a dvd player, free wi-fi access, a well equipped kitchen (with a nice welcome pack of bread, milk & cereals provided), and a spacious shower room and toilet. It was spotlessly clean, and a very comfortable place to stay.
The thing we really liked about The Town House is that you can come and go as you please, and have your meals in your room as and when you want. This was ideal for us, and we found it to be perfect for our needs.
The only slight downside is that the seagulls can get a bit noisy. Such is life, there's not a lot you can do about them!
That didn't detract from our visit tho', and we'd definitely stay there again if we go back to the Isle of Man.

“Amazing view”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

The TownHose was an excellent self-catering hotel. The rooms well-aapointed and completely furnished. The view of the promenade was beautiful. The location was accessible to shopping and the transit system, which in itself was easy to access and afforable as well as being helpful to visitors.

“Great flexibile accomodation for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 August 2011

This is a great place to stay, very handy both for the main seafront and for the shops.
Our apartment was really clean and well furnished. TV had a few movie/sports channels and there was a DVD player.
The welcome pack of groceries that we'd ordered was perfect. Staff were great too.
Would stay here again no problem.
2 small annoyances were 1) The number of codes you have to remember/write down to get into your room from outside and 2) The seagulls outside were really noisy from early morning until around 10 or 11 at night. Nothing the apartment owners can do but it was noisy, especially when it was warm and windows had to be open.

“high standard other than the unstaffed reception area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

Well-located, high standard of facilities eg nice quality furnishings and linen, kitchenette, and courteous and friendly staff. It would have been nicer if the reception area had been staffed, eg at time we were checking out. And the code entry system seemed possibly to allow entry to the lobby to some non-residents. Would recommend other than these points.

“Excellent for business, right on water front”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 6 June 2010

We stayed at the Town House after reading positive reviews on Trip Advisor and we were not disappointed. Excellent location right on the waterfront and walking distance to the Douglas business and shopping centre. Excellent junior suite on the first floor with a large quality appointed bathroom and separate kitchen for self-catering if needed. Bread and milk also provided on arrival. Spotlessly clean. Particularly liked the free wi-fi internet connection. The hotel also arranges airport transfers on request which are very reasonably priced, efficient and friendly. A large flat screeen tv was also welcome. The hotel has an arrangement for breakfast with the establishment next door. Take the hotel's advice and check the bill if you are charging to your room. We had continental breakfast but were charged for a full breakfast. A small reading library was also a nice touch. Only one minor area for improvement - Check-in wasn't terribly friendly and made us feel we were an inconvenience on a Saturday afternoon. Also be warned - there is no lift. If like us you have heavy suitcases, this is a problem when having to lug them up and down stairs. Thankfully we were only on the first floor. We would defiinitely stay here again.
