I stayed here as part of a naval reunion, half board, long weekend. As single traveller I opted for single room, mine was fine [6], altahough small & fairly basic, bed, shower, wardrobe small tv & desk it suited my needs

The room I think must have been one of the refurbished ones, all was clean & tidy, but on hearsay from some others in my group, this was not the case with some rooms, one told me he could only use the loo "side saddle" as no room for his knees

The staff were clean & polite, but I got the impression a couple more staff would not go amiss, barman doubling up as reception for instance

Food was fine, not 5 star but it was all nicely cooked & presented, in a clean & bright dining room

The only downside I found was very limited parking given the number of bedrooms, so should you fail to find a space then it is parking on the road, with parking restrictions, not ideal. I was lucky, I had my spot, others had to walk from parking up the road

we stayed as couple for 8 days and found the hotel v good food excellent staff very helpfull and friendly would give it full marks and will return again.

after reading the comments on here, i had to write the truth about my trip and this hotel.. from the moment we entered this hotel, we were treated so well.. the staff were polite, and proffesional, and very friendly. Our room was small yes, but very clean and considering the low price paid, we were more than happy. The food in the evening, was EXCEPTIONAL, the breakfasts were first class.. to be honest this compared to a 4star hotel foodwise. Okay the hotel may be a little dated but it was clean and the quality of service and the friendliness more than compensated for it. Nothing was too much trouble for us. We definently will return soon, and taste some more of that fine cooking!...

Although in a good location for the beach and the old village, this hotel falls well short on most counts for the £105 per night rooms. The double rooms are dated and tired though mainly clean. They have very small ensuite bathrooms with either a shower or a bath but not both and will only accommodate one person at once. Noise is a big issue from both inside and outside the hotel and it is very difficult to get a good night's sleep. We were on B&B terms and found the dining room a very unpleasant experience. Dirty cutlery, cups and plates with stale food being obviously present under dressers and buffet tables. The staff seem to be in a world of their own, not taking notice of what has run out on the buffet tables, not clearing up finished courses. A constant flow of requests for more orange juice is satisfied by a lengthy wait for a single litre top up which has gone is 30 seconds. Menu orders came back wrong every single time. I could go on, but suffice it to say that this hotel cannot justify half the room rate we paid. Stay well clear !
