Very clean & tastefully decorated. We stayed in room 1. The bed is very comfortable & very soft bedsheets. Enjoyed having a bath in the Japanese-style soaking tub, watching the TV in the bathroom, then chilling out in the bathrobe provided before getting ready to go out. Mineral water is provided in the room, as well as tea & coffee making facilities. Room bit smaller than expected, but big enough. Lovely breakfast in morning prepared by Miki, with particular mention to the bacon, which was tender with crispy edges, yum! Piers & Miki are both very welcoming & helpful. There are only 2 parking spaces, but we arrived early & got a space, then went for a walk around Paignton to explore the area, then returned for check it at 2pm. Alternatively, the pub car park nearby is only £5 a day. Hotel location is close to the beach, shops, restaurants, pubs - so you can walk to wherever you need to go. TJ's cafe is a nice place to get a tea/coffee or bite to eat at the harbour. If you go to the Harbour Lights restaurant, I would recommend the locally caught mussels! The latest sitting Harbour Lights would do was 8.15pm, which was fine for us. Paignton beach is nice, but you may also want to visit Goodrington beach which is about 15-30 minute walk (depending on your pace) around the bay. Cab fare to Torquay is about £8-10 & the harbour there is very pretty. Lots of restaurants, bars, shops in Torquay if you fancy a change of scenery

Perfect location, right near the beach, town, train station and bars. My husband and i stayed in room 9 which is at the top, it wasn't the biggest room we have staryed in but it served it's purpose and was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The bathroom is also small but again served it's purpose. Piers the owner was very polite and welcoming and the the breakfast was lovely. i don't have anything bad to say about this place at all. The only problem we found was parking, there is places to park but you have to pay in all of them which is abit of a pain but this is no fault of the hotels. We will certainly be returning! We have just got back from a weekend break at the P&M. Excellent Place to stay. Piers is extremely nice, Breakfast excellent and really sets you up for the day. The P&M IS ABSOLUTELY spotless. We have stayed in 5* hotels that were not as clean as the P&M. The bedroom ( room 1 ) Is great. Bed is comfortable, Loved the touch lamps on the bedside tables, The bathroom..... What can 1 say.......Fantastic hot tub and TV . Yes i said TV. which is opposite to the hot tub so you can have a great time in the hot tub, Watch TV and have a few drinks. What more could you ask for. The shower is fantastic. The room was cleaned EVERY day ( dont get that everywhere ) Bottles of water in your room daily together with tea, Coffee and hot chocolate , Biscuits. Fantastic. Plenty of space for your clothes, Hairdryer was good and fast drying. Also there is no need to take shampoo or conditioner with you as it is all there same with the body wash all there ready for you and its not the cheap stuff that you get in bigger hotels. A clean and modern B&B with rooms offering a high level of comfort. Superb service from Piers and his wife with attention to detail that is all too lacking in a lot of places these days. The sauna in room 2 is highly recommended. With such a wide range of places to stay in Paignton, this really is a little gem in a great location close to the sea. Highly recommended.
