Booked at a days notice as relatives were in the area and it was good opportunity to get together. We were greeted by Steve and were immediately made very welcome. Our room was large and modern with a massive bathroom and we were amazed at all the complimentary toiletries and coffee/tea making facilities in the room. No detail was missed including the free mineral water.

After a short walk and an afternoon/evening in town we returned for a greats night sleep in a really comfy bed.

Breakfast was fantastic and we met Dawn and had a great chat and felt completely at home. We had a look around and saw a modern TV lounge and incredibly cheap bar. Everywhere was exceptionally clean and it was great to park off road at the back.

We travel a lot and this was without a doubt one of the very best places we have stayed at. Our daughter and partner also loved the 4 poster room we booked them .

Steve and Dawn were the perfect hosts and gave us a perfect stay.

Just had an overnight stay at this very friendly,homely and welcoming hotel while passing through Paignton and will definitely return.The hosts Dawn and Steve do everything that they can to make your stay,however long or short, a very comfortable and enjoyable stay and the breakfast is second to none with Steve,being a qualified chef,doing the cooking so everything homemade.The hotel is really convenientally situated being two minutes walk from the seafront but away from the hustle and bustle to give you a great nights sleep.The rooms are very comfortable with everything that you need including big fluffy towels,hairdryer,tea,coffee ,complimentary toiletries,tissues etc.Spoke to several guests who have been returning year after year which speaks for itself.The tariff is really reasonable which is a real bonus.Dawn and Steve really deserve to do well and work so hard to make their guests feel like they are staying at a "Home from home" so dont hesitate in booking your next stay at Birchwood House.WE WILL BE!!!
