Very pleasant helpful staff, genuinely welcoming. The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and rooms quite. A very varied menu , both breakfast and evening. The food was excellent, and portions more than ample ( I am a big eater). Prices of the evening meals were very reasonable, and the bar prices also. Only one dislike was the lift with no enclosed walls, however as we were only on the 1st floor this was hardly an issue.
We intend going back for a longer break next year, and will certainly be using this hotel.

I stayed at the Fairway from 22nd to 25th October 2010. We had a huge room with a large window, modern stylish furniture and a comfy king-size bed. We had an en-suite shower room with towels provided. Everything was immaculately clean. The food was superb, freshly cooked and plenty of it. As part of a large group, we used the comfortably furnished upstairs TV lounge although we had a modern flat-screen TV in our room and also spent an evening in the lounge bar. An added bonus for me was free wi-fi as I like to keep in touch with my family. This short break cost me such a small amount of money, I felt sure there had been a mistake in the room we had been given. When I queried it, I was told that all the rooms are the same size. I certainly want to go back to the Fairway.

Stayed in the hotel over the Easter weekend. Our room had a view over to the sea which we were not expecting. The room itself was clean, well furnished with an extremelly large onsuite. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels that have had smaller bathrooms.

The bar was great, they had a good pint. Always a bonus after a day on the hills.

Needed a place locally for a night this week and read some of the comments on this site. I have to say that there is absolutely nothing wrong with this accommodation. Clean, spacious room, quiet, comfortable bed, overlooking a driving range, good TV channels, including Sky Sports. The shower cubicle was pristine. What more do you need?

If I was being piclky, the taps in the basin got on my nerves (they are the push timer type ones you get in motorway services) and my breakfast sausage could have been a bit tastier. Otherwise, do not be put off. I would stay here again given the chance. Good value (very).
