Just returned from a lovely stay again at the Dene House. Highly recommend this B & B we have stayed on numerous occassions and always pleased with the high standards of service and the little extras that make the stay extra special. From the lovely welcome on arrival and a welcomed cup of tea and home made cake to the comfortable clean rooms, the friendly helpful staff and the location close to the town but still in a quiet area. Always feel totally at ease when staying here and enjoy every minute. The staff and management go the extra mile that makes the Dene House stand out amongst other guesthouses we have stayed at in the area. We will always make Dene House our first choice of accommodation when staying in the Lakes,

I absolutely loved this hotel. It looks like a 5 star hotel but is not as pricey! The room we had was absolutely massive, the bed was lovely and comfortable. The place oozed character and I would loved to have stayed longer here, as we only stayed for 1 night. The breakfast was very very good too, the service was impeccable. A lovely place, thoroughly enjoyed it. Would be great for Valentines Day or another romantic getaway.

We stayed here for a quick one night stop over before staying in a lodge in Bowness for a few days. I choose this B&B after the good reviews on here and also the competitive rate they offered as we just wanted a room to lay our heads for the night as we knew we wouldn’t arrive until early evening.

The B&B is in a good location only a few minutes’ walk from Bowness centre and just off the main road with parking in front of house.

We booked a superior room which is situated on the ground floor and was a lovely spacious room with a very comfortable king sized bed. The room had good facilities including plenty of choice for making hot drinks and also a small fridge which I thought was very useful. The bathroom was nice with a powerful shower. The room was spotlessly clean and in very good condition.

My preference normally would not to be situated on the ground floor but we didn’t experience any noise from being situated next to the main door and across from the breakfast room.
Breakfast in the morning was well cooked and the service was good. We found the owners and the staff at Dene House all to be very friendly and helpful.

I would happily go back to this B&B again although as lovely as our room was I would probably ask for one upstairs next time. I would recommend this B&B for a nice comfortable stay in Bowness.

This is a lovely hotel. It's very clean and tastefully decorated.The room we had was excellent and very spacious. The location is very good as it is only a few minutes walk from the lake and all the shops. The breakfast was very tasty and there was plenty of it. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay her again.
