I took my girlfriend for a surprise birthday treat to this latest addition to the Cranleigh's properties! We stayed for two nights and probably picked the coldest on record!!
The property itself was warm and cosy with all the creature comforts that you could ever dream of. We were greeted by the owners and they even gave us a lift up to the property because of the icy roads - this was a good thing since there's no way my car would've made it up the road in such hazardess conditions :-S
We were greeted by chamgagne and chocolates on arrival, which was a really lovely touch. They'd put rose pettles on the eqquisite four-poster bed, and even little chocolates on the bedside tables.
The property was gorgeously warm and cosy and the decor was immaculately done. My other half wanted to pick up the bedroom and take it back with us!! The property had its own amazing cinema sized telly (or at least it seemed to be that big) and there was even a remote controlled fire - nice touch!
We ate out both nights and the highlight was a fabulous meal at Mela, the local Indian restaurant. If you're a fan of Asian cuisine then you're in great hands!
I have to say that it's one of the most amazing places I've ever stayed at, and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. Bravo! If you're looking to impress the Mrs for a romantic getaway then you'll not go wrong by booking in for a couple of nights.
Thanks for making it so special.
Julian
