A lovely B and B . nice rooms . but could do with updating their Televisions, as they had really small old type tvs , and it was difficult to see the picture or read the credits.

A very welcome sight and a very warm welcome after a long day on the Pennine Way - we got birthday cake and solicitation when we arrived and a lot of very interesting conversation. A great breakfast and good advice the next moring before our assault on Cross Fell. Highly recommended! Very nice to have all locally sourced food - homemade jam and yoghurt, eggs from well known local chickens, (lived in yard), home made quilts and drapery.

We arrived here at the end of a long day walking the Pennine Way and were made very welcome-tea, coffee and a lovely slice of birthday cake! The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable and the whole place very peaceful. We ate at the nearby Stag-very good-and were given a superb breakfast next morning after an excellent night's sleep. The homemade bread,yoghurt and array of fresh fruit followed by home produced eggs were just right. We were sent on our way with a hearty packed lunch and instructions to let our host know when we had safely conquered Cross Fell- nice to have concern shown. We enjoyed chatting to our hosts-would have liked to talk for longer and meeting their 2 dogs who got on really well with mine. Thanks for a great stay.

Returned from a long day of walking to home made cake, tea and two wonderfully friendly dogs Monty and Shep !
Ray and Frei our hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble .
Our rooms were spacious, immaculate ,beautifully decorated and the beds were very comfy! The breakfasts were very substantial, home made breads, yoghurt and smoothies, fresh fruits and the cooked options, although meat free ,were delicious!
We are recommending Hall Croft to friends and family and would not hesitate to stay here again.
