My husband and I had originally booked the hotel for a two night stay last year but due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to go at that time so the hotel offered us a credit note which we decided to redeem for a romantic Valentine’s one night getaway last weekend. On arriving at the hotel we were immediately made very welcome and were offered help with our luggage to our room which we politely declined but it was a lovely touch and made us feel very ‘special’. The young lady on reception who checked us in and was present throughout our stay was very helpful and professional and gave clear instructions on the location of the spa, gym and restaurants. After unpacking in our spacious Garden Room on the ground floor we hit the gym (small but packed with good equipment) followed by a two hour session in the pool and hydrotherapy area which was SO indulgent. Being close to Valentine’s Day we had been unable to book a Rhassoul mud treatment for two even three weeks in advance which was a shame but nonetheless we made the most of the different hydrotherapy rooms and left the spa feeling relaxed and ravenous for our three course meal but not before we’d sampled one of the delicious fruit smoothies from Zen Garden – the Thai restaurant adjacent to the spa.

We ate at the Manor Restaurant, the hotel’s more formal eatery and had a delicious three course à la carte dinner followed by cocktails in the bar. I rang the day before to enquire about the dress code and was assured smart denim was fine for men however my husband was the only man in smart jeans in the restaurant on that evening so I would advise shirt and smart trousers are probably best. We were entertained throughout by a fantastically talented pianist who played so beautifully and even took requests! The staff in the restaurant are also worth a mention particularly Rhianne who was extremely friendly and efficient. She was present at breakfast the next day and was still as smiley and effervescent as the night before – a true asset to the hotel!

All in all we had a lovely time at Careys Manor Hotel and would definitely recommend it to couples fancying a relaxing getaway from it all. The hotel was clean, spacious and the staff and food were absolutely faultless. Our only negative was that the room and corridors around the hotel were chilly but it was the coldest night of the year so far so to be expected.

This is our 4th visit to Careys Manor Hotel for a short break. The hotel is within Brockenhurst and from the moment you drivie in you are welcomed by very well trained , friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. We stayed in the superior Oakwood rooms that are nicely appointed and we ate in their excellent Manor restaurant. This is highly recommeded with good food and impeccable service.

The lounges are really attractive and comfortable with log fires and sofas in a timber high vaulted roof building.

The hotel has it's own leisure centre with a large pool,and also has a fantastic spa with a large hydrotheraphy pool, experience showers and many other features and ranges of treatments. Normall the use of the spa is an extra cost betwen £20 and £30 per person per day depending on whether you wanted full day/ half day/ evening use.

We stayed on a special winter deal package that included dinner in the manor restaurant both nights from their table d'hote menu. You can also eat from the a la carte menu for a supplement.

This is not a cheap hotel but offers very good service. The wines are a little expensive with no choice below £25.00. If you stayed on a full tariff rate this would be a quite expensive break but you will be treated to an excellent relaxing break.

We have just returned from our second spa break at Careys Manor, another perfect relaxing weekend. Our room was upgraded. The staff at the manor are very helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The meal in the Manor restaurant was gorgeous, beautiful presentation, service and excellent choices of food and wine. Breakfast and lunch in the Thai restaurant were excellent too. My friend and I both had treatments at Sen Spa and used the Spa facilities, all beautifully clean and faultless. Don't hesitate..... we are planning our next visit already.

A long weekend in the New Forest as a special treat for my wife's birthday was made memorable by the joy of seeing the natural beauty of the Forest and the ponies, and the comfort and service we received in Carey's Manor Hotel made it extra special. We dined in the hotel on each of the three evenings, and the food and service in the hotel's main restaurant was first class. Sitting in front of the fire in the lounge is a relaxing way to spend the tail end of an afternoon. Our room was beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable, and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived.
