Had a lovely two day stay in late August. Great en suite bedroom with separate sitting room, with lovely views out across Callander. Building has an interesting history. Breakfast was excellent - this Englishman really enjoyed the full Scottish, complete with nice haggis - with excellent fresh fruit and cereals. The owners were really friendly, rustled up a couple of packed lunches for us that we took on a hike around Loch Katrine, and gave us some good recommendations on where to eat - the main street is just a couple of pleasant minutes walk down the hill - Mhor Fish very good for unusual fish and chips. The surrounding area is lovely, and we definitely didn't do it justice in three days. Highly recommended......

I am a tourist guide so stay in a variety of accommodations all over Scotland. The Knowe is in a lovely part of Callander, a gentle stroll to a variety of venues for dinner. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable beds, excellent showers.Breakfast was delicious, something to suit everyone, with the cooked dishes made fresh. Great off road parking in lovely location with stunning views over the town. Enjoy.

The hosts could not be more friendly and accomodating, we got soaked through whilst out waking and all of our wet things were returned to us bone dry the following morning.Our room was very spacious and clean with plenty of hanging / drawer space . The breakfasts include fresh fruits and yoghurts as well as the full scottish.

My wife and mum-in-law and I stayed here during the last leg of a driving tour around the Highlands and I have to say we were very impressed. Our hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming, and advised us on some lovely places to eat in Callander (they were spot on too!). The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and well-appopinted, having a wall mounted LCD TV with full Sky package - something I really appreciated as my team were playing that night on Sky Sports! The rooms and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The breakfast was superb and I can highly recommend the full Scottish. The town of Callander is a few minutes walk away, and although there isn't an awful lot to do it is a nice wee place. I would unhesitatingly recommend The Knowe to anyone.
