Decided to visit Callendar for a few days to celebrate my husband's birthday and booked The Abbotsford Lodge through laterooms. Fraser welcomed us on arrival and explained breakfast times and key access in the evening. Fraser was very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended walking routes to us. The room was very comfortable,although perhaps a bit warm, but we just left the window open all evening and it was fine. Breakfast was delicious and an excellent choice. Everything was freshly made to order. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The only negative I had (and its a small one) was that the bed was a bit too soft and it squeaked everytime we moved, but this didn't stop us having an excellent break.

“this is an amazing place”
we went to callendar last year and was lucky enough to get back this year - this hotel is a must - fab decor - fab b.fast at a very reasonable price - we wont go anywhere else if we can help it - staff & owners very friendly & knowledgable - thanks a million for a fab weekend
Room Tip: pink twin room on ground floor lovely - green family room on 2nd floor great also - both quiet

Stopped here on the way up north. Friendly welcome. Spotless. Easy to find and good location close to the middle of town. A lot of attention to interior design. One niggle - our room on the attic floor was very small with a sloping ceiling so that you couldn't stand up in it. OK for one night but would annoy on a longer stay. Good breakfast.
Room Tip: Don't pick one on the top floor

“Very friendly staff, a nice place to stay”
A light, bright and modern hotel. Our room was very clean. Breakfast was good and service very efficient. Would recommend the hotel to friends.
