We recently stayed 5 nights at The Westerton and loved every minute of it! October is near the end of the season but though the weather was a little chilly our stay at the Westerton was warm in every way! We booked the Blue Room and with its ENORMOUS size, view of the garden, huge windows, oversize chairs for relaxing, big brass bed its really more of a suite than a room! The breakfasts are immaculate and delicious, providing a dizzying array of possibilities.

Mike and Leslie really know how to provide the little touches to make your stay special and easy. The loan of a large umbrella, detailed itineraries for drives in the area in and beyond, making reservations for your dinner out, even guiding you onto the street safely. Its the little thing that make a big difference and they don't miss a step. When you add in the kind, warm and wonderfully friendly people that Mike and Leslie are, you get an recipe for a perfect stay. We left feeling that we had made great friends and hope to see them again.

It seems like the B&B "industry" is the main one in villages throughout Scotland they are on nearly every corner. Staying at the Westerton means simply this, you have picked the best of the bunch. If you want to be in reach of many great sites know that Callender is ideally situated for site seeing.

We have never posted a review before, but feel so strongly that Westerton merits one that we have. Having been impressed with our stay three years ago this is the first time that we have booked a break to fit in with availability of a room: normally we decide where to go and then find accommodation.

The room (blue) is wonderful: airy, sunny, comfortable and very well appointed, with a lovely original ceiling: a tranquil place to sit and rest at the end of a day of walking or sightseeing.
A room on its own is not enough as you also need warm hospitable hosts. Mike and Lesley set the standard: they are warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The whole house is immaculately kept and the breakfast is excellent.

Westerton truly deserves its excellent status and we will to return again.

We have just spent 2 nights at the Westerton. It is the best guest accommodation we have found in Scotland. Mike and Lesley give a sincere and full welcome, and provide for all your holiday needs - great rooms, great food, and great night's sleep. It is like holidaying with friends.

We stayed in the Green room at the end of July. It was raining in Callander when we arrived. The innkeepers were great and even helped us with our luggage. The house is lovely and our room couldn't have been nicer. Very large room with lots of windows. Breakfast each day was delicious and Mike and Lesley gave us several recommendations about walks to take, etc. Our stay couldn't have been any better.

Callander was a great, little town. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Westerton and would definitely return!
