Stayed at the hotel during a business trip. I was given a twin room (not a double as requested), which was located in the outhouse/extension next to the rear car park. The room suffered from a terrible draft, because there was a 2 inch gap between the floor and the bottom of the door. Also I had much difficulty locking/unlocking this.
Checked the beds - one bed had a duvet with a damp mark underneath - so I used this to stop the draft from coming into my room. The other bed was fine. Room was cold, despite turning the radiator to full and one of the windows looked like something from a Turkish prison.
I didn't use the shower as it needed a good clean - had quite a bit of mildew growing in it. Hotel was full so couldn't relocate and was only there for one night, so stuck it out. Overall, the whole room could really good do with a refurb as it was tired looking and looked like it was something from 1989.
Staff were very friendly though, the bar had a nice atmosphere and the food was very good too - all freshly cooked.
Wouldn't stay here again, because of the above points - but would come again for a drink and something to eat.
