We found this little gem a couple of years ago and stayed for a 2 night break. We liked it so much we booked to go back. The only downside this time was they do not serve meals on Friday nights any more, but apart from that it was fantastic. The rooms are really clean and the bed really comfortable and extremely big. The layout of our room was superb as it had a downstairs sitting area and a bed upstairs on a mezzanine level. We will definately be back!

I was visiting friends and drove from Bournemouth with my son, so the comfort and overall experience when arriving tired was very welcome.
We had a great welcome, and the room was wonderful. Very comfortable, and cleaned within an inch of its life.
Very comfortable beds, and a great peaceful location in a country setting, but close to Newcastle city.
Very friendly staff and breakfast and service was top class too.
I thoroughly and highly recommend Park Farm Hotel

what a rare find the park farm hotel was. nestled quietly in wooded countryside and so close to the A1 (though you can't hear a single thing bar birdsong) it's terribly handy. after a long days work emily's smiling face to meet you is most welcome, she was a delight and her customer service exceptional. food was fabulous and i had a mezzanine floor room which honestly felt more like my own apartment than any B&B i've stayed in! by far, the best B&B experience - beautiful room, very comfortable bed and large, spotless bathroom, gorgeous sunny courtyard, it's the first time i've been away on business and actually phoned my husband to say i didn't want to come home! i'm now planning to book a weekend there for my husband and i to tour the north east, park farm hotel comes HIGHLY recommended...oh, and its fantastic value for money too!

We were looking for a small hotel for a few days to explore Durham and Newcastle. We were lucky to find Park Farm Hotel. A wonderful warm and welcoming family run hotel. An excellent breakfast and a good dinner in the evening. We enjoyed the stay so much we extended our holiday break in this area.
Emily, Laura and 'mum' have plans in hand to extend the accommodation available,to provide more room for either self-catering or serviced accommodation basis. We wish them well and look forward to our return visit later in the year

We have just enjoyed a four day stay at this enchanting family run woodland location. Excellent accommodation, food and service was provided by the family who were willing and eager to please. Would definitely stay again and would thoroughly recommend to those looking for a quiet location near to city.
