Not very pleasent. Bed linen had stains, there was a hole in the wall, pull out bed was broken, 1 member of staff not very attentitive however the other was very good. In a good location for eateries. Be careful if u ask staff for a taxi quote - they told us it would be £5 less than it was.

This was one of the best Travelodges we've been to for a long time. Staff were very helpful and cheerful.
Good location, close to Newcastle, Metro Centre and A1.
Room was nice, not too plain.
Holes in the sheets again!
Good supply of tea and coffee and more available when asked.
Extra pillows supplied when asked.
Noisy residents due to Newcastle being a mecca for hen and stag parties! So a downside at most hotels in this area.

Basic, shabby and dirty just about sums up this Travelodge. Stairwell littered and badly in need of decoration. Room decent size but basic beyond belief. Plastic cups in toilet had been rinsed for reuse! Kettle had melted chocolate buttons in it! Replacement kettle supplied but a suggestion was made that we use the original after it had been in the dishwasher!! Just couldn't wait to leave.

Nothing really to say - standard Travelodge fayre. Staff were very polite, KFC nearby and also a buffet restaurant 5 mins walk.

Need a car really as cab fares are 10-15 pounds into Newcastle. Near to the metro centre.
