“Wonderful Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 September 2009

We stayed at the hotel overnight on bank holiday, the staff were great really friendly and made us feel very comfortable. We had a deluxe room with a lovely sea view, the room was spacious and modern, we had a slight problem with the air con making loud noises but we were given a discount which helped! The food is lovely, waitresses are very nice and the pub has a really nice atmosphere. would definately stay here again.

“Top Gem of a Hotel, not to be missed!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2009

We made a late booking and by the off chance managed to get the 1 family room they have. Its split by an internal corridor with a double room en suite and a seperate room with 3 single beds. There's a fridge in the main bedroom which was very handy. The staff were very welcoming & friendly, and the small restaurant was spot on for an evening meal with children and very reasonably priced. The Hotel is situated ideally on the front, opposition the pier and all the attractions Yarmouth has to offer. Car Parking is opposite in the secure cinema car park and a very reasonably priced at £3 per day. There's a quaint hotel bar open to guests and a main pub open to all with outside seating area which was busy. Breakfast was spot on in the morning and a full english is very recommended to keep you topped up for the day. All round great little hotel, well worth its 3*'s if not one more, and definitely recommended to all!

“Absolutely Fabulous”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2009

The Room: Gorgeous! Lovely four poster bed, balcony, flat screen tv with freeview, tea coffee making facilities, and a lovely sea view. Perfectly maintained and clean, with plenty of clean white towels!
The Food: Very tasty, and good value for money, although they were rushed off their feet in the restaurant, they did their best to deliver good service.
The service: As they were rushed we thought we had been forgotten, but they turned it around with their friendliness and caring charisma.
Breakfast: Slightly disappointing, although the menu promised a tasty start to the day, we felt the eggs were tasteless, strange thing to say but they had no flavour! the coffee was good though. Service was slightly slow but that could have been due to the fact that gthe lady was on her own..
Location: PERFECT! in close proximity to everything we neeeded!
staff: hard working, polite to talk to and extremely friendly. Ian served us in the bar and he was lovely. Anna served us in the restaurant in the evening and was also at breakfast and in the bar the next morning! An abssolute delight. The blonde receeptionist was also very welcoming and friendly.
Altogether, we will definitely be back soon!!!

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 July 2009

I booked a weekend break with the hotel via e-mail based in part on trip advisor reveiws, The hotel is virtually opposite the brittania peir, I arrived on a Friday afternoon and was greeted in reception by the staff, and was booked in straight away, Car parking is in a gated car park just opposite the hotel at a small cost per day, My room (105) was on the first floor and I can only say it blew me away, the air con was on which was very welcome after a long drive on a hot day, it had a double bed, and a super bathroom with large shower, Large HD television fixed to the wall with Sky and freeveiw, everything about the room had been given careful consideration where the electric points were, mirrors although the full length one as you leave the room was a bit of a shock for me lol, French doors out onto a smal balcony looking out over the sea, the pub offers great pub food more formal dining is available in the bistro side of the pub in the evenings but everyone seemed happy with the pub grub. One small point is that there was confusion as to the broadband connection but I had my dongle with me so not a problem. The best way I can sum up is 5* quality at 3* prices dont miss it.

“Great room, great location - Helpful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2009

My colleague and I booked the hotel to attend a conference at the nearby racecourse. The hotel is located on the promenade directly opposite the pier and also has a very convenient private and secure car park immediately opposite the hotel.

The rooms we were allocated were superb, we booked the deluxe rooms and were not disappointed, a sea view and balcony. Clearly the hotel has been recently modernised and looks far superior to any other hotel on the sea front.

We had a slight problem with one of the rooms and the maintenance guy was on to it in a flash, and worked to resolve the problem immediately, so certainly could not be faulted on customer service. In addition all the staff were polite and friendly. I can’t comment on the food as we ate at Olive Garden Restaurant on Regent Road, and very nice it was too, a proper restaurant, not a fish and chips emporium!

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying in Great Yarmouth and is looking for something better than a seaside B & B.
