“Anniversary trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 November 2011

The hotel & Staff were excellent.
There were some cons but mostly all pro's. Hardly worth mentioning.
The day staff, reception to the bar staff were helpful and welcoming and couldn't do enough for you. However the evening bar staff did not seem to have the enthusiasm as the others had. It was not very busy yet I had to ask for the drinks that we had paid for half way through our meals.

The room we had was a very large four poster bedroom, it was very clean, and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was large however the light did not work so had to take it up with the receptionist who promptly got it sorted. The room was very warm and glad to have the fan in the room, even with the heating turned down was still very warm. The only downside of the room was the balcony doors did not open nor could we open the windows. To have a room with a sea view was an absolute delight.

The Pub - The food was excellent, and good prices, after reading reviews for the hotel we had decided to eat there before we had even arrived and it certainly lived up to its reviews.

Breakfast - This was served in the Bristo. It was excellent certainly set up us up for the day.The waitress was excellent, friendly, and very helpful.

Would highly recommend this hotel.

“Patio doors to balcony locked in all sea view rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

love this place been here several times but was disapointed to find patio doors on all balcony rooms are now locked it was a warm day when we arrived sun shining in room went to fling open the doors as it was warm and smelt of the previous people! we were disapointed to find out they were locked ,i went down stairs to ask for key and was told very politely they are locked because of health and safety i dont want to go on the balcony i said, just want the doors open sorry was the reply we are not allowed to give you the key.i went back up stairs to open the side window and it only opened 300mm from the floor causing a draught round my feet .please please please do something about this as we love this place and the best bit is opening the doors for the fresh sea air ,apart from that it makes the room stuffy,

Room Tip: ask for a discount if you are booking front rooms with sea view but only if the patio doors are lock...

“Great Family Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 August 2011

Really liked the location (across the road from beach and seconds walking distance to kiddies 'Fun Land' amusements/fair, ideal for a couple of nights stay if you want to be in the action!
Hotel staff were very friendly and the breakfast was great.
The room we had was ideal for familie as the 'kids' room was seperate from the master room, almost like a mini flat.
Flat screen TV and large rooms with nice linen/comfy beds.
A minor moan, was as the room was at the back we heard air conditioning noises at night, to be fair they were only on till about 10pm ish so nothing major.
The Prom Hotel is joined to a lovely pub...'pub on the prom' which served super fish and chips! Overall a great place to stay.

Room Tip: The front superior rooms looked really nice and had a sea view.....

“Great Hotel and Pub”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 July 2011

Just returned from a 4 night break in Great Yarmouth with my hubby and would advise anyone to stay at this hotel. The rooms are large and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The 5ft bed was so comfy you didn't want to get up.The bathroom was very large with a walk in shower. The service from all the staff is superb and nothing is too much trouble. As for the food. Well whatever you do don't ever sack the chef as the meals are fabulous, well cooked and well presented. We ate there every night as you would't find anywhere better. Parking is so easy as there is a car park over the road (you need a key from reception) and only £3 a day.
If you are looking for a hotel in Great Yarmouth which is central for everything go to the Prom Hotel and you won't be sorry.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 110 which was on the side but nice and quiet.

“If in Yarmouth- STAY HERE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 May 2011

Wow. I am SO glad I booked this hotel! Not really knowing many hotels or B&B's in Yarmouth, I wasn't sure where to book. I'd visited Pub On The Prom for a drink last time I was in Yarmouth and this made me think to look into the hotel they have. I called up to have a chat about rooms, immediately the staff were SO helpful and friendly. I explained I didn't want an "old style" B&B room but that I wanted a balcony (the four poster rooms have balconys but are of the more traditional B&B style decor). There apparently weren't any left, but it only took the gentleman on the phone and couple of minutes to arrange for me the room I wanted. And at a good price. The pub itself is great, so is the food and the prices. It's right in the centre of Yarmouth, next to the pier, cinema and shops, although slightly left on the road enough to mean it isn't noisey in your room at night. The view we had was amazing, and the room was fantastic (one of the newly refurbished ones) really spacious with the most comfortable bed, massive telly and a modern and stylish bathroom with excellent shower (I'm very fussy about hotel showers). Great Yarmouth is one of my favourite "in England Holiday" resorts, I love it there and always have, but now I'm so pleased I've found such a brilliant hotel to stay in each time I visit. We will be returning to this hotel, to be honest, I can't imagine staying anywhere else in Yarmouth now.

Room Tip: Call to discuss. Staff VERY helpful.
