“Caister Weekend Comfort”

I spent the weekend at The Hamilton and was very happy and comfortable with my stay. The owners are two of the nicest sweetest people I've ever met. They were always happy to accommodate any requests and were very relaxed. The hotel itself was very comfortable with the rooms being as expected, clean, tidy with adequate space. I was so comfortable there we've already reserved for next year. Btw I just love the way that the full English is at your table before you can say beans on toast..Lovely service definitely reccommend it if you want somewhere close to the beach/promenade or town centre.

Room Tip: The seaview rooms are much in demand and provide a wonderful view across to the beach.

“Would go back again!!”

My husband and I had a great weekend August bank holiday, had read the reviews on trip advisor and was a bit concerned but went with an open mind and had a lovely stay here. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had a small adequate ensuite. The owners and all of the staff were lovely and friendly. The breakfast was really nice on the first morning, sorry didnt make any more due to all the late nights hahaha! Hotel was very central to the high street, the pier, the market and horseracing track and the dog racing track of which we enjoyed them all. Entertainment in the hotel on the Sunday night was elvis which was a really good night!! They have a nice lounge area with a bar at the front of the hotel from where you can see the sea and the waterways.

Room Tip: We had a room with a side seaview that was nice just on the first floor.

“The Best Hotel In Town”

Well what can i say? The staff are fantastic, they can't do enough for you and they make you so welcome. The room was lovely plenty of space. The breakfast was fantastic. We also had our wedding reception here and the staff worked so hard to make our day/evening special which was great. Will definately return and will definately have another function there. The owners have only been here 18 months or so and they are working very hard to upgrade the rooms, of which quite a few have been done already.

“Good Hotel, Great Location.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 August 2011

Decided to take a last minute break over the Bank Holiday weekend and had difficulty in finding a hotel with twin rooms. Due to our wanting to get away we reluctantly decided to accept the last two single rooms at The Hamilton. Upon our arrival we were put at ease with the welcome we received and was pleasantly surprised when we were shown to our single rooms (from the previous reviews we had seen, we were expecting broom cupboards). The en-suite rooms had plenty of space to move around in and the shower facilities were fine, plus, the view from the windows were great. The Hotel is in an ideal location opposite the "Waterway Gardens" and away from the hustle and bustle of the town. Yes!, the hotel is in need of some refurbishment but this is in process and does take time, but is very clean and comfortable. The owners and the staff made you feel at ease and were always ready to give help if needed. The "Waterway Gardens" directly opposite the hotel are ideal for anyone wanting to stroll and sit quietly and relax, plus there is a great cafe/restaurant (The Waterways Cafe) where you can have a variety of good quality meals. (well worth a visit). All in all, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and would recommend The Hamilton to any of our family. Price wise, all in all, we have paid more at other hotels for less, so we have no complaints. When the refurbishment(s) have been completed the owners would be quite justified in increasing their tariffs.

Room Tip: Single rooms 21 & 22 are very good with great views

“We all loved it and look forward to coming back”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2011

have just got back from a weekend break at Great Yarmouth, after staying at The Hamilton. The hotel was absolutely lovely and I had a nice relaxing time staying there. The rooms were lovely, tidy and clean with great views. The hotel is situated in an ideal location across the road from the beach. The food at the hotel was great, with a wide range to choose from. Most importantly the owners and staff were lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would definitely come back to The Hamilton on my next visit to Great Yarmouth, and I highly recommend it.
